Liverpool blows. Down 2-0 to Villa at the half.

This is absolute rubbish. Lucas needs to go and Xabi never should have. Good one Rafa. And Pool doesn't blow.

There is simply no distribution from the midfield anymore. Gerrard is at his best when he is playing a more CF role. With Benayoun, Lucas and Kuyt, it just doesn't work. Don't know why we signed Aquilani. So upset, let's hope we can pull off some magic.

If Liverpool fails here, that's two early losses. Liverpool depends on getting off to hot starts, because they traditionally flag by around late January.
And Torres is healthy. How long does that last?

Pool fans better hope something happens soon here because although it's far to early to say much but you dont wanna go six points down on Chelsea

meh.....Liverpool will still finish top 4 for sure imo. Even the game vs Villa you can argue that they should have at the very least taken a point. Lucas' OG was horrific, Gerrard never makes such dumb mistakes as that penalty, and corners sometimes get finished. 2 of those goals don't happen with players of Pool's quality with regularity, just so happens they did twice vs Villa. While it certainly isnt good, I think Pool will be fine. They still bossed Villa for much of the game and missed nearly all of their chances. Those chances will go in eventually and the stupid mistakes wont kill them in future games. Again, 2 of the goals allowed were pretty fluke imo. As lost as Lucas has looked, nobody scores OG like that with any sort of regularity and Gerrard certainly doesnt concede critical late penalties.

They're trying to.
He's been stripped of his squad number, and he has no spot in the team this year.

Looks like Robben is on his way to Bayern. Perez sure is screwing things up. Who is gonna play down the left flank? Who will cover for Kaka or Xabi? Not to mention Van der Vaart is on his way out most likely too. Reports are we reached a deal for Ribery for next summer, but don't see how that helps us now.

UEFA Champions League Draws were just made:

Groups A and D look the toughest to me. Barcelona-Inter will be fun to watch as well. Arsenal appears to have a cakewalk.

I really don't understand why CSKA was part of the 2nd seed draw, while Rubin was part of the 4th seed draw.
Rubin was the champion last year and has looked MUCH better then CSKA this year.

I think I read somewhere that it all has to do with how they rank in the past 10 years or something like that in Europe. That is why we had the German champ in one of the last two pots I think.

It's based on UEFA coefficients, which are accumalated over 5 years.

Thanks for clearing that up Michigan. It was on the tip of my tongue but I just couldn't remember the list or name.

Arjen Robben is headed to Bayern. Gonna miss that Oranje. Thanks for all the hard work even though management screwed you over.
