I thought UF should have gone a little higher... oh well there's still about 5 games left for everyone, we'll see how it looks at the end.

USC moved up more spots for beating Notre freakin' Dame than Florida did for beating a top 10 Kentucky team.

Surprised that LSU got 5 first place votes in the "Irrelevant" poll. Can't say I entirely disagree, but it's surprising nonetheless.

LSU should be #2. BC has beaten nobody. Hell you could make the argument they should be #1 but Ohio State looks more legit.
The only reason why it's not a big deal is that I don't think anyone expects Boston College to win out.

USC
Cal
USF
The past 3 weeks these teams were ranked #2 and lost. I think we know what will happen when BC plays in Blacksburg.
Also, if ASU beats Cal next weekend, they have to be top-3, right?

A win against Cal won't be as impressive as it would have been two weeks ago.
I'm big on ASU, but I still feel like if OSU and LSU win out they deserve to be in the NC game. My personal top 10 would be:
1)Ohio State
2)LSU
3)Arizona State
4)Boston College
5)Oklahoma
6)Kansas
7)Oregon
8)West Virginia
9)Virginia Tech
10)USC
-Those are the only teams that I think have a realistic shot at the championship. Florida could make some noise if they win out I suppose, but 2 losses is a big mark against them. Same with Virginia and the loss to Wyoming.

I would say that if LSU goes to the NC instead of an undefeated ASU team, ASU would deserve a split NC.

I really doubt ASU is going to run the table in the Pac Ten, but you have a point.

ok, now we're back to being ranked. But as someone(think it was bf51) said a while back, rankings dont mean anything really, it's if you can win your conference. RU has 0 chance at the NC, but has a legit shot at winning the big east

Rankings only matter for NC. Everything else is up to winning the conference, as both you and BF are saying.

What I don't get is how people don't think ASU deserve a title shot if they win out, I guarantee if it were Cal, Oregon, or USC still being undefeated they would be 1 or 2 right now, but ASU plays almost the exact same schedule and end up being number 7

Why is everyone knocking BC so much, they deserve #2 as much as USF did before. If they beat VT that should justify it I guess, they really haven't had a tremendously challenging game yet.

At least USF beat West Virginia. BC hasn't played a good team all year.

Can you give a reason for BC being #2 and ASU #7?

It's embarrassing that Oklahoma is ranked that close to LSU.

Except ASU hasn't beaten Oregon, Cal, or USC. When/if they do they'll shoot up.
As for Boston College..sorry but that's silly. They've beaten Wake Forest.
South Florida beat West Virginia and Auburn.

ASU beat Colorado, who beat Oklahoma.
ASU beat Stanford, who beat USC
ASU beat Oregon State, who beat Cal.
Yeah, that doesn't mean we are better than the teams that our opponents beat, but it shows we beat the competition were expected to beat. And Wake Forest lost to Nebraska... That says how good they are. ASU would run the table in the ACC this year (that's going to cause controversy). =D

Colorado-4-4
Stanford-3-4
Oregon St-4-3
None of them ranked, only one with a winning record. Yes, you beat the teams you should beat, but I don't think those wins are any kind of a case for a higher ranking just yet. I also don't think BC should be as high as they are, so don't get me wrong there.

I'm not sure you understood what I was saying. I don't think BC has any business being #2.
