Sometime in 2012 or 2013, my decision not to do this and to get a regular blu-ray player instead is going to haunt me.

See I actually have points at the place I work at so I could get about 150 bucks off a PS3. The one thing holding me back is at this point I only play sports games and I am not sure I would get much use out of the system. I was leaning towards just picking up a nice player on sale for about 70 bucks but by the sounds of it maybe I should get the PS3.

I think I am going to go for the PS3 just because the only Blu Ray player at my work is only 100 bucks cheaper than the PS3 (and I want to use the massive amount of points I have managed to put on my card through trickery). Probably won't actually pick up a game on the system for a while but I figure I will be able to use it for a while.

Except online play isn't quite as good. That's my only knock on the PS3, really.

Also, if you get a PS3 Gonzo you must buy the Uncharted 1 and 2. They are superb.

Bluray movies/tv shows look so damn amazing though. Usually I don't take notice of stuff like that but the sound and visual quality is unreal. I watched Star Trek on Bluray and it was breathtaking.
