Big Baby's stock just fell off the cliff after a mediocre year. He was a 1st rounder had he come out last year, and I even heard lottery.

He was a hell of a football player should have stuck to that. Losing weight may of hurt him cause he lost his power and is still slower than 99.9% of NBA players, it doesn't hurt that he has no height, no explosion, no and doesn't have the skills to make up for these discrepancies.

I didn't want to dig for the old NBA thread, so Im just going to post this here.

http://www.hoopshype.com/rumors.htm

Quote:
Kobe Bryant isn't happy with the Lakers' direction and wants Jerry West back in Los Angeles to fix things. Bryant told ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher that he wants the Lakers to bring West back to the organization and give him full authority. If the Lakers don't want to do that, Bryant said he wants to be traded. Bryant is frustrated that the team has not made any significant moves since it re-signed him. ESPN.com

I guess trading his best friend Caron for Kwame Brown wasn't big enough for him.

He was very impressive from what I've seen of him. Tore up UNC one of the times they played. His size and athleticism were intriguing at the point guard spot. Wasn't clear if he had good skills for the position though. A 1/2 tweener?

Where does it look like Ante Tomic is going to be going? I saw his agent said that he was probably staying in the draft and that the agent was comfortable with where he thought he'd be going, seemed like he might have gotten interest from mid-first teams.

Dowdell this past year was a bit of a tweener but at Portsmouth he was terrific and shut up all of his critics, I also heard he had an amazing personal workout. He can shoot, drive, great ballhandler and defender and has great vision. He also has freakishly long arms like Rajon Rondo and his very athletic. He could surprise some and move into early 2nd. As for Tomic he shouldn't stay in but if he does he can go anywhere from late teens to undrafted. I personally am not of a fan of him right now because he is so skinny and a lot of his game is based on this, I actually like Artem Zabelin more than him.

Oh my gosh Hawks apparently are shopping the 3rd pick and Josh Smith for Lamarcus Aldridge and Jarrett Jack. Somone please shoot Billy Knight. Josh Smith=2 Aldridge's so that means Jack=3rd pick, WTF!!! Even if it was Marvin Williams and #3 for those two I would have trouble doing it. If they do this I will no longer be a Hawks fan, and would have to be a Blazers fan even though I hate Ohio State, but that would be sick, PG:Mike Conley Jr.(3rd pick) or Sergio who could beat out Conley, SG:Broy/Martell, SF:Josh Smith/Dmiles, PF:Zach Randolph, C:Oden, or if they trade Zach for Rashard have Jsmoove at the 4. The fact that the Hawks are even shopping Smith pisses me off so much. You are trading a top 10 talent for a bigman who honestly hasn't proven to be much better than Channing Frye. Go ahead and do this Hawks and you will be idiots. Teams will be lining up if this is all it takes to get Josh Smith. The Hawks can keep the 3rd pick and the Wizards will give you Jamison, Haywood, and 16th for Smith.

if portland pulls this trade off, this is one of the most dominant teams in 4 years. conley is very, very good; oden...who can guard him in the west outside of duncan; randolph will continue to be a 20-8; josh smith WOW; Broy. That's pure.

I can't see this trade happening. Someone in ATL will kill Billy before this happens. I know am beginning to believe that maybe Bill Simmons would be a better GM than half the GM's in the league right now.

Curry has that inside scoring ability that could have helped the Bulls against the Pistons. If they could have kept Curry and then added Wallace inside I would take that over Tyrus and Wallace.

Curry does too many things that the Bulls hate: no rebounding, horrible defender, never was a leader in Chi, and he disappeared late in games. Would Curry have helped? yes. However, he was not the answer. If you look at the Knicks, and I've seen many of their games this past season, Isiah has built that team around him. The Bulls are a team, not a superstar driven team. Therefore, it's difficult to say that his stats this year would have occurred in Chicago.
