Stuckey just jumped from early and middle 2nd to middle and late 1st on NBAdraft.net. He must be really impressing people.

He actually reminds me a lot of Deron Williams except he's a better scorer but has less point guard skills. Both though are big tough kids, and like Reynolds Deron played a lot of off guard with Dee Brown and made his mark with his scoring although you could see the passing. Scottie is a real NBA scout. I watched a lot of his high school games and he is one of the best scorers I had ever seen.

Very interesting comparison, I like it quite a bit. Williams is a little taller if I'm correct but the situation and skill set are both very similar, albeit with the exceptions you made. I'm excited to watch him play next year, and hope he makes the next step to become more recognized as one of the best pure scorers in college.
And Joey Dorsey is a monster. One of my favorite college players to watch. The thing about Memphis is they really played pretty well together last year, and with Rose coming in if they gel like they did last year they could be scary good. Only thing is their schedule isn't always that rough.

And not that it means too much but FWIW Chad Ford has him going to the Pistons at like 15. I guess teams like the combo guard in him and his potential, so it'll be interesting to see if this is a fluke and he drops or if he continues to rise.

FWIW, Russell Carter had the most bench reps with 25. (Oden did not bench) GRF, who would you rather have? The guy who benches 185 25 times who is a relative no-namer or the National POY and all around man beast who benched 185 0 times. Like the 40 yard dash and the Wonderlic, this is another number which is completely overrated

That is pretty weak to not even be able to bench your weight, but who looks weak when he's on the court? Yeah, his opponents.

Although it carries weight unlike the NFLDRAFT the combine numbers are in: http://www.draftexpress.com/viewarticle.php?a=2095
Interesting Numbers:
Lowest Body Fats:Ekene Ibekwe:3.2, Sean Singletary:3.7, Jeff Green:3.7(Especially impressive because of how tall, big, and bulky he is) Corey Brewer:4.2, Mike Conley Jr.:4.2
Highest Body Fats:softy Josh McRoberts:13.7, Aaron Gray:10.8
The weak proved weak:Durant-0 Reps, Brandan Wright-2 Reps, Julian Wright-2 Reps, Daequan Cook surprising 4 reps
Strongest:Jeff Green-17 reps, Russell Carter-25, Coleman Collin-21, Al Horford 20, DJ Strawberry:21(shocking, overall combine rank was #1)
Longest wing span-Ekene Ibekwe, 7-6", Durant bigger wingspan than Oden. Shockingly Mr. Long arms Corey Brewer measured in at only 6-8", the skinny arms do make them look longer than they really were. Fellow SF measurements:Jeff Green:7-1", Julian:7-2", Thornton:7-1", and D Jeff Green was nearly 6-10" for your personal knowledge.

For Gray, isn't 10.8 pretty good for a center though? I mean, Oden is ridiculous, but for "normal" centers that's decent right?

Yeah, I'm more concerned with Durant's wingspan than his bench. That's damn impressive.
Interesting numbers for Aaron Brooks too. Nice vert, and overall rank of 14 is nice. 2.7% body fat? wtf he been eatin'? That lane agility number looks nice too. I wasn't even aware they held a combine like that. I guess I'm not up on the NBA like I used to be. Just looking at those numbers, I think the guy that I'm most impressed with is Conley. Especially considering his age and intangibles on the court.
Thanks for the link, GS.

If your arms were that long, the bench press is not an accurate measure of your strength.

Kevin Garrett was a rail. Tracy McGrady was a rail. Marvin Williams was a rail. He'll be just fine.

As far as talent-wise, no. As far as same body type coming into the league? Yes.

Talent wise. Marvin was as talented as T-mac was comingg out. Sure he went to the hell hole of talent but he could still be very good.

Of course alot of these young kids coming out are going be thin. As people mentioned KG, T-mac, and there's also Kobe, Dirk, and other's who came in at a very young age who were rail thin, but went on to grow(physically and mentally) and succeed. Plus I really doubt the teams are going to pass on a player of Durants caliber just because how much he benches. He's proven on the court he can play. So GRF, you are really nitpicking on trivial things.
