It was purely a business deal for the Bucks, so its pretty much a done deal that Oberto and Bowen are waived. And those bastards will return to the Spurs.

Ah, at least they are smart enough to say they will be signing back with their original team.

Bucks general manager John Hammond was not done when he made the trade with the San Antonio Spurs earlier today, dealing Richard Jefferson for three players and providing financial relief.
A high-ranking Bucks source has told the Journal Sentinel that Fabricio Oberto, one of the three Spurs players acquired earlier, will be traded to the Detroit Pistons for power forward Amir Johnson.
The 22-year-old Johnson is a 6-foot-9, 210-pound forward who was a second-round pick of the Pistons in the 2005 draft. He averaged 3.5 points and 3.7 rebounds in 62 games with the Pistons last season.
Johnson started 24 games for Detroit last season and averaged 14.7 minutes per game.

Nice, that's a good move. Amir has a lot of raw talent.

It's not like it's a new trend. This has been common practice for years.
But looks like Bowen could be the only returning. I like that Amir trade for the Bucks.

I want to see Dumars completely revamp that team. Sign BG, Ariza, Boozer, and Gortat.

One: The Pistons don't have the money for all four.
Two: Hands off of Gortat, or I'm going to start cracking skulls.

The thing with Gortat, is that he seriously has no future in Orlando. He cant play PF next to Dwight. They play terrible together and both stand in the paint bumping into eachother. haha. It's not pretty. He's a center through and through with an inconsistant jumper. It's not going to work in Orlando. It's not like we can even find him more minutes. Dwight plays 36+ as it is and that number will continue to rise. As much as I love him off the bench...Spending the full MLE on him is just not a great investment on Orlando's part. I once thought he'd be back but, his value continued to rise and paying that much for him doesnt make a whole lot of sense.

Oh I know, I was just referring to the situation that happened a season ago when Stackhouse brought it up in the media and got the trade negated

You're thinking too short-term. Give him the MLE now, use him as our C backup in our playoff run next year, and his value will only go up.
Then, you trade him for picks or players or expiring contracts, whatever works.

Are we getting a pick or anything? Amir was a pet project of Dumars' and he's just gonna dump him off for cap room?

The Wiz have all the use in the world for Mike Miller and Randy Foye.

I seriously doubt that would happen. Gortat wants to start as it is and while he is a very nice guy, word is he is one cocky mother at the same time. He thinks he's a star and he wants to start right now. The full MLE will be out there for a young skilled big man...as would a starting gig.

Adding two good players in this draft with Al should keep them above the Clippers freakshow. And Foye has been a small bust for them while Miller didn't really contribute dick to the team last year.

How does Mike Miller and Randy Foye get #5, $7 Million expiring next year, a servicable big man, and Pecherov?

T'Wolves will be a mess next year. Great move for the future but, they may be the youngest team in the league next year and they need major back court help. The Clippers actually have a lot of talent.

IDK, I have the Wizards as the winners in this one, cause of Foye's scoring ability, and there is no talent who at 5 can give them them better results at this time then those players. In listening to an interview with Bill Simmons, Chad Ford reports that Wizards ownership

I guess ownership really feels that way after this trade, lets see if its all but done

Every rumor I saw had them just giving away the pick for basically nothing...and well, that's pretty much what the did. They didnt want that pick at all.

The Clippers have talent but they have the worst coach and the worst GM in the NBA (same person but still).
