Are they seriously trying to trade Amare for Stephen Curry?

Why hasn't Steve Nash demanded a trade out of Phoenix? What desire does a 35 Year Old have to play on a team that's cutting salary and rebuilding? He's nearing the end of his career, it'd seem to me that he would want to finish off on an actual contender.

Boston seems to have a hard on for trading Rondo.. What about Rondo, Expiring Contracts, and a Pick or two for Nash? Maybe a team like the Blazers, Rockets, or Lakers would offer something relatively good for him.

If I was the Warriors, I'd trade Monta and Randolph for Amare. Of course, the resulting team might be a little too traditional for Nellie.

His value is too low right now, if we could get Rondo i'd do it but i really doubt that offer has been made, with a half season of run n gun his numbers will be back up and we can get a good haul for him at the dead line

I doubt the Suns would do that one

I think the Suns would do that immediately. I highly doubt the Warriors would offer that though.

never been a fan of Ellis though, plus we already have Barbosa

That's true, but Monta is a more dominant scorer than Barbosa and has marginal lead guard skills. Just saying that that'd be worth more than what they're currently getting. And would Robin Lopez just not get a chance then? Not that he showed a whole lot, but it was only a year. But I just wouldn't care for that proposed deal for the Suns unless Curry ended up being a star, even if I love Biedrins.

Give Babrosa the same minutes in that system and he puts up the same numbers

edit: as a matter of fact at 23 with 32.7 MPG(Ellis has 35.7 but not a huge difference) he put up very similar numbers

Barbosa: 18.1 PPG, 4 APG, .476 FG%, .434 3P%
Eliis: 19 PPG, 3.7 APG, .451 FG%, .308 3P%

Where in the world have you been reading that Sacramento has been trying to "pry" away that trash Turkoglu? I'd actually be VERY surprised if they tried to make a "run" at him, because he's an overrated player on the downswing of his career. Someone's gonna overpay for him, and he's gonna give one okay year then continue to decline.

Sacramento has inquired about Hedo nearly every year since he's been in Orlando. Most notably, when they were offering Ron Artest but, that isnt the only time they called. It's common knowledge among Magic fans and our writers make note of it all the time...as has Otis Smith. Another big reason they were so high on Casspi was because, they were so high on Hedo and most say they regret giving up on him too early. Petri does love the smooth foreign athlete and Casspi has drawn Turkoglu comparisons. Petrie loves Hedo. But that being said, you dont have major cap room until next year so, it would have to be a sign and trade, which may be unlikely. They may end up showing no serious interest at all but, Petrie does indeed love Turk...so, it wouldnt surprise me.

They always seem interested. This was on fanhouse yesterday as well.

Quote:
Sacramento. Rumors of Kings interest in Hedo have persisted since December. While I don't understand why a rebuilding team hemorrhaging cash would sign a high-priced 30-year-old while years away from contending, you can't deny the Kings' need for a top flight small forward or Geoff Petrie's adoration for skilled bigs who can shoot.

Something occurred to me regarding Orlando's possible loss of Turkaglu.

Maybe they like Ryan Anderson enough to consider giving him a shot at starting? He fits our system to a T: A big, tall guy who can shoot at a good clip, can hit the three at a fairly good rate, and can handle the ball a little bit.

Anderson isn't a very good ball handler at all from what I've seen of him. His future is as a spot up shooter imo. Not that there's anything wrong with that especially for the Magic.

Maybe they like Ryan Anderson enough to consider giving him a shot at starting? He fits our system to a T: A big, tall guy who can shoot at a good clip, can hit the three at a fairly good rate, and can handle the ball a little bit.
The thought crossed my mind...but SVG did say, off the bench in his presser. Plus he could play the 3 or 4 and jack up as many threes as he wants. He gives nice flexibility off the bench. We're looking at Wallace and Bass so, they're currently looking for a starting power forward. Obviously one who plays a physical brand of basektball if those are the two they've set their eyes on.

If worse came to worse...he may be our starter. If we fail to land anyone but it would seem like the intent is to find a strong true PF right now.

Ideally I'd like us to bring in a guy like Bargnani or Villanueva--- a true power forward who can post up a little, shoot from mid-range a lot, get 5-6 rebounds and hit the 3-pointer at a .350 or better clip.

Bargnani isnt going anywhere. Charlie may be had but, his defense is pretty bad. Wallace's strengths play into more what they seem to be looking for. CV isnt much a of a defender and doesnt play nearly as tough as a Wallace or Bass. That being said, I'd welcome him if he could be had. He could be an option if they dont land Bass or Wallace, who they are making offers to as soon as FA starts. They would add more toughness, though which Otis seems to want. I like Bass a lot, I just wish he had a more refined offensive game but the potential is there, it's not all that bad right now and the guy wont quit. He'll always battle for you. He doesnt have the three like the others, though. But, I've always been a fan.

Wallace is the best fit but, he's also a nut and aging. We also have multiple bench spots to fill. We're going to look completely different next season.

edit...

Take it with a grain of salt because, these dont always work out this way, but anyway...Bass was like a 19 minute per game guy. His numbers as a starter would translate to a 16 and 8 kind of guy with a block a game. Per 36, this would be. He's never really had his chance but, he's got a great amount of potential. He could be real good for us or who ever else he signs with.

Villanueva is hardly a true power forward.

Does Bass have a mid-range game? I don't get to watch many Mavs games.

I know you're talking to MOTH, but yeah he does have a pretty decent one from the Mavs games I've seen.
