Where is Brandon Jennings?

ESPN hates on Jennings. Best pg taken this year. Owns rubio.

Magic signed Matt Barnes and are about to sign CJ Watson...

Homerism aside, we have the deepest team in the East now and the best starting 5.

Nelson, Carter, Lewis, Howard and whoever else is beast.

Not sure if this was already posted, but the Magic signed SG/SF Matt Barnes.

Bam bam bigalo! Otis Smith is dealin'!

Our bench is starting to get real sick. What's funny is that Barnes is another prior GS Warrior... LOL. Otis keeps going back to his old stomping grounds. So let's see... Barnes, Pietrus, Foyle, got Hendrix in SL, and could be signing CJ Watson next... this is funny.

CJ next?

debatable with Boston.

Rondo, Allen, Pierce, KG, and Perkins can more than hold their own.

Tyreke is a Wade type player. He's not a PG but a slash, so what he said is around 50% true. Flynn is overrated.

He'll be running the point, so it's 100% true. Whether it fits your definition of what a PG should do is debatable, but he's miles away a better player than Brandon Jennings is, or will be.

Yea, I'd go Boston. Rondo, Allen, Pierce, and KG are better than Nelson, VC, Lewis, and Dwight. Throw in Perkins/Sheed is going to be much better than whoever Orlando starts at SF/PF.

Oh, dont get me wrong. Tyreke was my favorite guard besides Rubio in the draft. And he is definitely better than Jennings, but Tyreke is a slash player who can play the PG spot really well.

Everywhere I've read says that Perkins is still the starter, and that Sheed is fine with that, but that in certain situations where the matchup proves beneficial, Sheed will get the start. All indications are that this move won't hurt Perkins' minutes too too much though.

Sorry, but I emphatically disagree. Every game I watched of his in the summer league, he looked, without question, to be the best player on the floor. While he may have made more than his share of turnovers, the talent on our summer league team was really abysmal and Jonny won't have to worry about Garret Siler fumbling after his passes during the regular season. Everything I've seen from him so far makes me think that if anything, Flynn is underrated. Oh and btw, Jennings is just awful defensively. He makes some very nice passes, but the kid is missing a brain and couldn't guard an NBA point to save his life. Think Sebastian Telfair defensively. I really don't have a lot of faith in him as far as becoming anything special in the NBA based on what I've seen of him.

I dont know why, I just hate Jonny Flynn. I cant explain it, but watching him out there just irks me. idk, thats probably just me. Anyways, Jennings having bad defense shouldnt really surprise anyone, and I think that is the worst part about the overseas thing. They dont teach fundamental defense there, and him being 19 and having gone from HS to Europe, his D is probably going to suck.

You freaking rock Saddam. Especially since Tyreke is #3 on the list.

MAN, I can't want for the new season to come. This is the most I've been excited for a season in a long time.

I'm glad Toney Douglas is manning up. He was one of my favorite underrated prospects going into the draft.

back up Calderon and get some playing time at the 2 spot as well.

EDIT: Like how we had Ford/Calderon.

That's too bad Nash signed an extension with Phoenix. I was kind of hoping he would come to Toronto after this season, but I understand that he wants to finish his career in Phoenix.

It'll sort it's way out. The kind of depth we're building is the stuff that makes champions. Get me Watson and Hendrix! :D

Jennings is no closer to becoming a pure PG than Tyreke. Jennings is very, very raw. So, what he said is 100% true, and Tyreke is playing the point, btw.

Everyone seems to think Barnes will start and Pietrus will continue to come in off the bench at SG and SF.

So...

PG Nelson
SG Carter
SF Barnes
PF Lewis
C Howard

There would still be no way to get Bass, Anderson, or Gortat any real PT. Have fun Stan, you're going to have your work cut out for you when it comes to the minutes...should be winning regardless, though. :D

I don't understand this statement. Brandon Jennings may be very turnover prone and out of control but he is probably one of the purest points in the draft. Tyreke is in a tough spot. As a PG he lacks lateral quickness defensively and isn't natural running sets, and you can't move him to the two because aside from already having Kevin Martin in place, Tyreke is horrific playing off ball as he can't shoot off screens. I don't get the argument though that Jennings isn't a pure point. Jason Williams was out of control but still a pure point. If Jennings could cut down on turnovers some and improve decision making and more consistency on his outside shot, he has potential to be an Allstar point guard. Very few players in the league have his end to end speed and quickness with the ball in his hands as well as vision and ability to make tough passes.

I doubt Gortat remains a Magic after the trade deadline.
