If Blake Griffin is all that he's cracked up to be...

just imagine, an Amare that plays good defense

I wrote him off as soon as the Clippers drafted him. He won't have knees in 5 years.

Blake Griffin isn't nearly as skilled offensively as Amare. I'd say closer to K-Mart in his prime.

The James vs Durant debates are going to be ******* awesome, and I can't wait for them.

I've already pretty much accepted that he's winning a ring in the next three years. He'll win one sooner, and will end up with more overall, than Lebron. Unless the Miami superteam happens. Or something. He'll be more skilled offensively, more versatile, and could be a pretty awesome rebounder and defender. The effort's definitely there. Once he puts on some damn muscle, he'll be unstoppable.

Durant will probably end up with more scoring titles than Lebron, but it's unrealistic for us to expect him to be a better "player" than Lebron.

We're talking about the most prolific basketball player in the history of Basketball right next to Magic Johnson and Oscar Robertson.

Yeah, with the growth of just him and the rest of the thunder in general they will be a scary team. I fully believe that they will be the 2 seed in the west next year.

I believe they will be the Lakers rival much like the kings were for the next couple years.

With the way things are going so early in his career Durant could end up peaking at something ridiculous like 36 PPG, but overall he's never going to be the same type of passer/rebounder that Lebron is and he's going to have to keep improving a lot to get on his level defensively. I'd be pretty surprised if he's ever better than him before while they're both in their primes.

If you think Griffin is going to ever average over the 17 PPG or so that K-Mart peaked at we're watching two different players.

I love D-Wade. If it weren't for the injuries, he'd be widely regarded as the best player in the NBA (and likely will be again after this year).

Problem with Wade is that his decline is likely to be very, very rapid due to his style of play.

No, but his playing style is too reckless and he's 28, so being a top ten player in five years isn't very likely.

1. LeBron James
2. Kevin Durant
3. Tyreke Evans
4. Derrick Rose
5. John Wall
6. Deron Williams
7. Dwayne Wade
8. Dwight Howard
9. Harrison Barnes
10. Chris Paul

It's so hard to come up with a list that I feel good about. I'll probably end up tweaking it.

JMO, but I can't see Wade as the sixth best player five years from now.

Too much punishment on his body, IMO.

Wade could pretty easily reinvent himself later in his career if he works on his jumper because from what I've seen his form is pretty good, he just hasn't really had a reason to develop it so far in his career. As long as he realizes that he can't keep up his style of play forever I think his collapse is being overblown on this board.

Only if he developed a better mid range jumper/post moves. Overall I really don't think he was that strong of an overall number 1 pick.

Agree to disagree I suppose............dick. Boozer agrees to 5 years/$80 million with the Bulls, so TIME TO GET SOME SHOOTERS.

Isn't this where you rip the Bulls for overpaying a guy who doesn't play defense? This is a disappointing reaction.

it's not only the injuries that make people forgetful of D-wade. I think it's also the fact that he never really made a playoff run after their championship in 2006.

Now, I'll reiterate and say his finals against the Mavs was probably the greatest if not one of the greatest finals performance ever.

But, he started his title defense being swept by the Bulls...

I know a lot of that had to be coupled by injuries and the lack of talent.

But I think in 2007 their team wasn't that much inferior to the Bulls and possibly even had a better team than them.

So I would like to see more of him as a player, maybe with more of a killer instinct. Maybe Bosh, is the miracle Miami has been waiting for for a long time.
