Says we should have DFish and Brown resigned very soon. I was hoping we could nab Raja Bell and Anthony Morrow but it looks like we won't have the cash.

I'm liking how our bench might look.

PG - Steve Blake
SG - Shannon Brown
SF - Sasha Vujicic / Devin Ebanks
PF - Lamar Odom / Derek Caracter
C - Mbenga or Powell

I kinda hope we resign Powell. He's developing slowly but surely. I don't know what to make of our Rookies but I've been hearing good things from both of them.
I still think Fisher is pretty much a lock to return. His part of the team is just too much to let him go or for him to walk away. I'm not sure on Shannon Brown staying though, but I definitely wanna see him back.

Summer league starts tomorrow for the team, so hopefully Ebanks will be shining.

What are some of the "Non-Game" sporting events to have some serious ratings on television?

This thing has to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest right?

O.J. Simpson car chase, does that even count?

Your telling me that is going to get you 36-40 wins?

They might pick up a solid C-list free agent, but that's not going to guarantee them another 6-10 wins.
I'll go with 26-32 wins.

NBA, NFL Draft comes to mind. Olympic Opening ceremonies.
That is all i got, this will probably get bigger ratings than these.

It's not like those teams didn't use their share of FA/trades either. Wilt, Kareem, Robert Parish, Shaq...none of those were drafted by the teams that we're talking about. Whether it happens one way or another the same thing ends up happening so what's the big deal? Just because it hasn't happened exactly in this way doesn't mean it's the wrong way.
I'd rather draft and keep my players, not have all my players contracts expire and sign 29 year olds to 5 year deals... just me though.

and for real this is horrible as someone slightly educated on this. Someone asked if Bosh Wade was better than Jordan/Pippen. I wanted to hurl. The greatest player of all time and probably the best defensive forward of all time compared to a 29 year old who only excels due to the fouls being in his favor and a post man who doesn't play defense and shoots jumpers more than anything. Tandems better than them even:
Kobe/Gasol
Nash/Stat
Parker/Duncan
Wade/Shaq
Kobe/Shaq
Penny/Hill
Jordan/Pippen
Payton/Kemp
Stockton/Malone
Anyone/Olajuwon
Magic/Kareem
Bird/Parish
Bill Russell/Hondo
Thomas/Lambeer

really the list goes on, stop the hyperboles, this team isn't there yet.

Actually the list doesn't go on. Do you realize how many HOFers you listed on here? How is that a knock saying that the combo isn't that good when you say their not as good as Magic and Kareem, no **** there not that good.

Besides the HOFers, you started reaching to try and make a point. Anyone + Olajuwon? You might want to actually pick a player. Penny + Grant Hill ? That seriously makes me laugh so I hope you weren't serious with that. Please tell me you weren't.

Let's go ahead and give this combo some credit. not many big men average 25 pts and 10+ rebounds per game, your talking HOF company. Wade is just as talented as any wingman you put on your list apart from MJ.

Of course there not the best combo ever, of course there not better then 2 HOFers who played together, but don't embarass yourself by putting Penny and Grant Hill. Penny has never even had a season over 22 points a game, Grant Hill as good as he was probably only had 1 season better then what Bosh had where he averaged 25 points, other then that Bosh past 3 seasons are better then anything else Hill has done.

haha yeah i reached on that one and the Olajuwon one. I don't think they won't be good, it's just ign'ant people are saying its the greatest duo ever. that is a hyperbole and it's really annoying. If they get LeBron they will have one of the best 5 trios ever assembled, but ign'ant people will say they are the greatest trio ever, when they aren't.

Olajuwon/Drexler
Olajuwon/Sampson
Olajuwon/Barkley
Olajuwon/Thorpe
Olajuwon/anyone. Olajuwon is a top 10 GOAT and way better than Wade or Bosh.

I hope you never saw Grant Hill play in his prime, or else your statements are ridiculous. Hill was basically LeBron James light before the injuries. Best or 2nd best SF in the league for 4-5 years. Saying a 1-dimensional, fringe top 10 player is better than Hill is ridiculous. You're underrating Penny too. He was a top 5-10 player in the NBA during his short prime. He was the Kobe to Shaq's Shaq during his Magic years.

No idea why Hill/Penny was listed as a combo though. Did they even play together at all?

Well with LeBron and Wade and Bosh on the same team, you have the top player, a top 2-5 player (depending on who you ask), and a top 15 player. Not saying it is the best trio ever, but I can't really think of any better off the top of my head.

Russell/Cousy and pick one from Sharman/Heinsohn/Jones
West/Baylor/Chamberlain
Bird/McHale/Parish
Kareem/Magic/Worthy

Bosh really brings the trio down.

edit- add Hondo to the Russell/Cousy trio

Jordan/Pippen/Grant

Russell/Jones/Havilicek
Bird/Parish/McHale
Jordan/Pippen/Rodman

5. off the top of my head.

Bosh really brings the trio down.
Yeah, Bosh does. But the duo of Wade and LeBron would be pretty sick.

http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/n...ory?id=5363686

cool.

but good news here: Nets reportedly have signed Kyle Korver as well, looking for a link, but it's being reported on netsdaily.com

also we could make an offer for Tyrus today.

not sure if want.

I really don't want LeBron to go to Miami, I don't care where else he goes, just not Miami.

Watching a Miami game is gonna be real boring next year. Expect 100 FT's per game.

Tyrus is fun to cheer for. Highlight reel dunks and blocks and then there is the frustrating 20 ft jumpers he likes to take. Still fun to root for and there are plenty of people in Chicago wanting Tyrus back. Although, there are also people who want Ben Gordon so....

Cavs in trade talks with Minny for Jonny Flynn. Flynn represented by LeBron's agent.

They never played together, or were even that close to playing together. Maybe he means McGrady and Hill.

In case anyone's interested, Colin Cowherd said on his show that the Lakers are pursuing/working on a trade for Hedo Turkoglu.

My guess is that it'd be Luke + Sasha (expiring) + picks for Turk.

Yeah, is Johnny Flynn supposed to try to get LeBron to stay? That would be laughable.
