Besides, nobody technically even knows who is going to lead the team, maybe it would if Wade is scoring 30 ppg and closing games and Lebron is scoring 20 standing around watching, but I doubt that'll be the case.
If this Miami team wins titles people will remember it as the "miami trio" or whatever...not as LeBron's team like they will remember the Jordan Bulls or the Kobe Lakers.

Kobe's lakers that won 2 titles right? Everyone wants to say Shaq carried the team an got the finals MVP's. Also, i like the comparison to KG bailing on the T'Wolves.

KG situation was horribly different. KG didn't want to leave Minnesota. They had to convince him to waive his NTC. Minnesota was trying like hell to get rid of him. When he finally waived it to go to Boston, it was more of a Ray Bourque type of trade.

well yeah, but everyone will call them Kobe's Lakers since he won 2 titles without Shaq and then 3 titles with him.

They were finally willing to listen to trade offers after the season ended in huge disappointment. Not for a second though would i buy he didn't want to get out of there.

I guess I just don't understand the decision to join Bosh and Wade in Miami (nor do I like it, but that's for another time). He's marketed himself as the next great thing and now he's perfectly fine with playing the Robin role? And yes, he will be Robin in Miami. Whether or not he's a better player doesn't matter. It's Wade's team in Wade's city.

Maybe LeBron was tired of being "the man." I can understand that. He worked very hard in Cleveland and had **** to show for it. It was how he handled it and the choice he ended up making that turned people off.

Btw, Broussard reported that James was none too pleased to learn that our front office would not grant his posse' special privileges and this likely eliminated us from having any chance of getting him.

If that is true, that's ******* ridiculous.

I'm just glad none of this nonsense is happening in the Western conference. Though I will still hold out hope that Erica Dampier's expiring contract will be a good trade chip.

As long as Rodrigue Beaubois isnt traded.

Yup, James wanted to be the first person in the Reinsdorf Bulls era to be allowed to have his friends hang out in the locker room with him at all times and travel via the team plane. There were rumors about this since free agency started, so it's not some new revelation since he chose Miami, either. Supposedly Lebron said it didn't matter, but it seems like he acknowledged that it was a talking point.

I dislike Reinsdorf greatly, but he wins points in my book for having that rule and not waivering.

You waive that rule for LeBron.

That Bulls team would have been ridiculous!

PG: Derrick Rose
SG: LeBron James
SF: Loul Deng
PF: Carlos Boozer
C: Joakim Noah

Or slide LBJ to the 3, grab a shooter for the 2.

Dan Gilbert owns Fathead. He cut the price of the LBJ one from $100 to $17.41, 1741 was the year Benedict Arnold was born.

Meh. I'm glad they didn't. Don't get me wrong, if Lebron was on the Bulls I'd be psyched. But I've always been against the type of player he has become. He's a talented freak, but I just hate the sideshow that comes with him. I personally wanted Joe Johnson since even this past season started, so I was more disappointed we didn't get him than not getting Lebron.

Hopefully it looks like we may have a starting 5 of:

PG- Rose
SG- Korver/Reddick?
SF- Deng
PF- Boozer
C- Noah

With Gibson and James Johnson off the bench, plus whatever Janerro Pargo-like scrubs we sign. It's not a dominant roster, but if Rose continues to improve, we'd have him, plus the pick and roll with Boozer, plus an outside shooter, plus big guys who are awesome on the glass. I'm not too disappointed, but I really want Korver.

Hahaha I forgot about that rule.

I don't mind having it, but yea it's pretty ridiculous. No headband Lebron would be awkward.

Btw, the situation the Bulls are in right now is why we should have kept Hinrich and the 17th and just taken sex god Jordan Crawford. Sure, you have to try and shoot for the moon when the possibility of Lebron and others comes up. But if they didn't make that trade, they'd look like:

PG- Rose/Hinrich/Acie Law
SG- Hinrich/Jordan Crawford aka Sex God
SF- Deng/James Johnson
PF- Boozer/Taj Gibson
C- Noah/Scrub/Vet

Awesomeness. I know, completely unrealistic to expect that would all happen, but let me have my shattered dreams!

On a side note, what are the chances that now that Atlanta has Joe Johnson back and Jamaal Crawford, that they would want to give the Bulls Jordan Crawford for like....free? Or maybe for James Johnson, same thing.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about if you think these are similar. LeBron leaving would be like Joe Mauer leaving to the Yankees.

Yea, one guy left the team that drafted him, and isn't his hometown team, after 10+ years when he's 30 (or almost) and on the decline of his career.

The other guy left the team that drafted him, which was his hometown team, after 7 years when he's 25 and at the peak/reaching the peak of his career.

But totally similar since they both left their original teams to join other great players.

True. Although the rule is pretty ******* stupid.

So what do you guys consider a success with that team in Miami? 2 titles? 3 titles? 4 titles?

I would say at least 3. This year they might have some trouble winning this year because they have to fill out the roster still, but after that as long as they mesh well it's scary what they could become.

Favors exploded today in summer league. granted it's summer league, but we were without the other 2 good players with T-Will playing only 5 minutes and James sitting out (both due to injury)

23 points, 11 boards, and ZERO turnovers. win. I do love me some Favors and really think/hope he and Bropez can be a pure sex tandem for many years to come
