Could be Wade is LeBron's mouthpiece. Plenty of ways to interpret it. Pretty moot anyway. LeBron will be the man and Wade will be Robin.

Wrong.

By going to Miami and to a team who already has a face and a leader in Dwayne Wade it showed that LeBron lacks the killer instinct and leadership ability of the killers in the past (Bird, Magic, Jordan). He's happy he no longer has to be the man every night and can rely on someone else to step up big. I see him as someone who would make a great assist/2nd option but Wade will be the first option because he has already shown he has that killer instinct. In LeBron's signing with Miami we saw that he would rather be Pippen than Jordan and will be the greatest Pippen/Magic (before he was MAGIC) that we have seen yet. But make no mistake, on this team Dwayne Wade is the Michael Jordan.

Holy **** is this board starting to overrate Dwayne Wade. He is not as good as Lebron James. Lebron/Wade/Bosh is the clear pecking order in Miami.

I don't see how this benefits the Hawks. They could use a C but not Shaq.

No.

Whoever will be Jordan will be established when the games are played. It's just silly to assume one guy will be Jordan because he was on the team first. If Lebron is carrying the team, scoring the most points, and closing out games, and Wade is taking a backseat, does that make sense that Wade is Jordan? No. We need to see the games play out.

It would be stupid to say Lebron will be Pippen when he'll be the best player on the team for the next 5 years, and will produce that way.

And even if it was like that, the first time Wade misses a game winner or something, LeBron would be like "wtf, I would've easily made that" and proceed to be Alpha Male.

Sorry I have to disagree.

LeBron is just an all-around better player than Wade and has the size and strength to last much longer in the NBA than Wade does. When it's all said in done (assuming they win multiple rings) LeBron will be considered the best player on that team, without question.

He was only a liability in Phoenix and Cleveland because they were a transition team and he is slow and immobile.

On a half court team he gives them decent production and a big body to get in the way.

Worth a try.

Plus Marvin Williams sucks.

needless to say Chris Webber did not like that very much.

Kahn says Chris webber never came into his own as a player until he got to Sacramento...

this is taken from Bill Simmon's tweet

Sorry Minnesota fans, your president doesn't even watch the sport.

http://www.nba.com/video/channels/nb...nba/index.html
I searched this entire thread to see if someone had posted this yet. I have to bump it.

Really? REALLY?!

Another absolute gem from this interview is Kahn talking about Milicic as the best passing big man he's seen. "Even ask Vlade. He'll tell you." Webber: "Vlade?? Vlade Divac? Really..."

I only hope Kahn sticks around in Minnesota for at least one more draft. The Kings have him to thank for Cousins coming to Sactown and if Kahn sticks around, he makes every pick behind him more valuable because you know he's just going to waste it.

Johnson is a good talent, don't get me wrong. But Demarcus Cousins, come on...

No joke. If anything Wade has shown a willingness to be Robin: coming off the bench in the Olympics voluntarily, taking less money, inviting the reigning two time NBA MVP and two time NBA All-Defense to your team shows a lot of deference. Do people really forget, or take for granted, just how great LeBron James has been?

LeBron James is the King, period.

i hope all three get too caught in partying with each other in south beach that they forget to put in the work. Then when playoffs come rolling around they get punched in the mouth (figuratively)

that's right I'm a hater!

Rookie rankings til now:

1. Demarcus Cousins - Sacramento
2. Derrick Caracter - LA
3. John Wall - Washington
4. Devin Ebanks - LA
5. Gani Lawal - Phoenix
6. Patrick Patterson - Houston
7. Landry Fields - New York
8. Jordan Crawford - Atlanta
9. Larry Sanders - Milwaukee
10. Matt Janning - Phoenix

per NBA.com

makes me happy two see 2 lakers in the top 5... if only Phil played rookies.

Also, let's not forget Marco Bellinelli was once a summer league star.

ding ding ding. Come playoffs time, I'm really intrigued to how this could turn out. LeBron has had some awful playoff games, and that's an understatement. What happens if he has one with the heat? Do Wade and Bosh stop giving him the ball? And of course if any one of them misses a game winner, the other two will think they would have made it no problem. There's a lot of potential for the Heat to be the worst failure since the Lakers got Payton and Malone.

Now if the Lakers had gotten Payton and Malone in '96.....

That is a little bit of a stretch with Malone and Payton, those players were towards the END of there careers. Sure there is still question in my mind on how things will work but more confident than you obviously. It would be so much easier if it was a duo of a TRUE PG, Bron and Bosh. Someone to facilitate and execute, then Bron who can do absolutely everything and Bosh, a skilled big man who can get 20 10..

As for the Pippen comparison, look up Scottie's best season, when Michael Jordan was playing baseball. If LeBron James ever averaged 22 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists we would be wondering whether he got hurt or something. No offense to Scottie Pippen, who was a great player and a great defender, but he was no LeBron James when it comes to talent or production.

And Wade aint MJ either.

I don't know, first on my meltdown watchlist is actually Bosh. 'I want to be the centerpiece' he said...now he will practically be the forgotten man. If anyone ends up having their shot total carved up you know it will be CB4.

Pretttttty sure no one is comparing them based on talent or production. They are comparing them based on roles. No one thinks Lebron will have Pippen-like stats to Wade's MJ-like stats. They are saying who will be the Jordan role and who will be the Pippen role. Stats have nothing to do with the comparisons.
