Earl Clark would never get a minute under the Suns, Josh Childress is getting 6.5 mil a year to not play, just too many wings that are better than him on the roster. If Clark ever becomes more than a role player though I will be shocked. BTW I like how he "grew" 3 inches since joining the Magic

That's an insult to Roy Williams. Arenas has the worst contract in basketball by far.

They can move him at the deadline no problem. In fact, J Rich for Boris Diaw and change was a hot rumor in December. If they want to trade him, they can.

They're both bums with outlandish super star contracts. The comparison is APT! haha. Sigh. Made myself sad.

I can't wait to have Noah back.
He should be back Weds., or Thursday at the latest. So over/under 10 games Noah's back before Boozer gets hurt?

Yeah you traded the 2nd worst contract in Rashard for the worst contract in Arenas. Both suck the difference is that Rashard won't become a team cancer. One you fall short of a championship and Arenas isn't in on the final team possession he will become the biggest team cancer. The Magic's only hope is that he does something stupid to get his contract void.

Fixed that. Because pulling a gun in the locker room is apparently not stupid enough to void a contract, he will need to one up that...

If he meets his potential, he can be a solid starter, imo. Far from an All-Star. But a pretty well rounded player overall. I def. see him further developing his long distance game. I see his development shaking out something along the lines of Trevor Ariza's down the line. He'll just never be that selfish with the ball, however. There is no reason he cant be a better version of say, Boris Diaw.

Arenas is prime example #1 of why fully guaranteed contracts are the devil. Hell, he NBA's system in general is pretty much the devil too....

Pietrus was a good player for the Magic until he started to think he was Ray Allen.

Marbury and Curry are probably even better examples. Collecting millions and not even dressing, although it would probably benefit the Magic if Arenas never suited up.

I liked him for a while with us, but it got old real fast. He became a major chucker, and he is one of the worst ball handlers out there. He traveled at least once a game, and he drew so many offensive fouls, with his out of control, over aggressive driving, it was damned pathetic. I certainly appreciated his work ethic, defense, and clutch shots. But all his faults totally off-set all the good things he did. For me at least. I wasnt sad to see him go at all.
And semi-related...I'm not too fond of Ryan Anderson, either. He's a bit of a fan favorite now and has def. shown potential. But he's too much of a chucker for my taste, and he's always late on rotations. I'd love to trade him, before he becomes a real mainstay in our lineup. I'm just not a big fan.

One of the few brilliant moves (or non move I guess) that the Paxson-Reinsdorf GM-Owner duo made.
Oh what's that McCurry? You're coming off a season in which you had serious heart problems? But wait, you don't want to submit to a physical and heart tests before we give you a bazillion dollars? And we're the ones being unreasonable? OK, we'll just sign you to a hilarious contract and ship you off to New York. He's all yours Isiah...and what's that? Sure, we'll take these 1st round picks off your hands too, thanks.

We used your #2 overall pick in 06 to get Lamarcus Aldridge and your #9 overall pick in 07 to get Noah.
Does that help?

I'm pretty sure it was used to get Tyrus Thomas eventually.

Granted the draft could/probably would have gone differently because of results starting in 06, but the Bulls technically had 3 years of drafting Aldridge, Noah, Rose.
Rose
Big name SG signed with Boozer moneys before 10-11
Deng
Aldridge
Noah
Would have been faptastic. Stupid John Paxson...not even winning the Derrick Rose lottery could save your job as GM...
