Eh. Amare is holding up just fine. I think his knee issues are overblown.

CP3...I dunno. It takes a good 2 years for knees to heal, and he hasn't given himself the proper rest. Luckily for us, if we get him it will be 2 years from now anyway, so it's not like we won't know what we're getting ourselves into.

By then, we'll know what CP3 will be for the rest of his career.

The guy had microfracture surgery and his knees were virtually uninsurable.

Humphies was like .00000000001 seconds too late on a tip in to win the game. Terribly played all around, back to back OT games will do that to the Suns, and being the Nets will do that to the Nets

I don't see how he's any different now than he was 2 years ago though. He's maintained the same level of performance post microfracture surgery while never missing any games.

I think it's overblown. It's one thing if hes gotten progressively worse each year and has missed time over the years, but he hasn't. He has lost some explosiveness since the surgery, but post surgery Stat has had the same athleticism and no signs of it getting worse. And he doesn't miss games.

*shrug*

You can never predict knees, so who knows. Maybe he does get worse. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Yeah. That's true. It is what it is though. We really didn't have a choice. We needed at least 1 guy so we could lure other guys here, and he was the guy.

Stat will always be my favorite of this new crop of Knicks for that reason alone. He was the first to come here when no one else wanted to.

Predicting some buyout landing spots:

Mike Bibby to Miami
Troy Murphy to Boston
Corey Brewer to Chicago
Dan Gadzuric to Miami

I'm curious about who would try to go after Kelenna Azubuike

According to ESPN Miami is the heavy favorites for Troy Murphy. That makes sense because the Celtics really don't have the minutes for him anyway. Why would you go to Boston and fend for minutes with Jeff Green, Glen Davis, Shaq and Kristic? In Miami it is either you or Joel Anthony... exactly.

Wish he'd consider the Knicks. But wtf wouldn't want to go to Miami at this point - can't blame him.

Meh, a lot of people would be there if they were offered 100 mill lol.

Not really a tough decision for him. He went where he was getting the most money.

I've seen him play a few times, and while he does lack his previous explosion he's still the best PG in the NBA and it's not even close, in my opinion. Is he an elite scoring PG anymore? Maybe not, but he still has time to recover from it as BBD mentioned.

People don't seem to realize how good Chris Paul is. The man is averaging almost 10 assists a game and only 2.3 turnovers a game. That's insanely good, and even Williams, Nash, Rondo, etc. average at least a turnover more per game than Paul. It's pretty damn rare for a guy who passes as much as Paul to average more steals per game than turnovers, too.

Plus his FG% is still sky high for a guard (6'0 guard at that), he's shooting a career high from three and almost 90% from the line.

Dude is a beast, lack of explosion or not. Only player who really comes close is Nash. After that it's probably a battle between Williams, Rose, Westbrook and Rondo.

I know it was the all star game but Cp3 wasn't really known for his scoring... he always had the sick passes, and showed it in the all star game with pin point accuracy.

The man doesnt even need to put up 20, he is THE BEST passing PG in the NBA right now. Sorry Scooter, I love D Will. What I look for in my PG is that he can distribute the ball, get in the paint and then find the open man. Just because we got guys like Rose and D Will who are sick scorers doesn't mean ****.

After I typed that, I thought of Rondo.. before Nash.

Thing is I still love Nash and always will, so you calm down.

If the playoffs started today, I would want Nash to be my PG.

However, wouldn't start a team with him obviously.

im fine with people arguing other pg being better overall than nash, but there isn't a better passer in the world, he is a once in a decade talent in that regard

Yeah, except that Rose is a better passer and is better offensively at pretty much everything.

I guess it depends on your definition of passing. To me it's setting up your teammates without giving the ball over to the opposing team. Nash might be the best at delivering the ball in unique and special ways, but he still turns it over way more than Paul does.

Marcus Thornton scored 29 points, 16 in the 4th Q, to help the Kings beat the Clippers tonight.

Also, T.J. Ford and Jason Kapono are likely to be bought out by Indy and Philly respectively.

Cant believe I'm the only one who thinks Rose is the best PG in the league. Dude is easily the best scorer at the position and still averages 8 assists a game. A little high on the TO's but hes only in his 3rd year that will get better with time and experience. He might not be the best Point guard in the traditional sense, but he is the best basketball player at the PG position today. If you wanna talk about building a team i don't know how he isn't at the top of the list
