He might not be the best Point guard in the traditional sense, but he is the best basketball player at the PG position today. If you wanna talk about building a team i don't know how he isn't at the top of the list
|
That depends what you value in a PG. Keep in mind that Paul only takes 11 attempts a game compared to Rose's 20 attempts a game.
When I'm talking about a point guard, I'm talking about a guy who puts his teams scoring before his own. A guy who knows where his teammates like the basketball and gets it to them (without giving it to the other team). Rose is a fantastic player (in the MVP argument for sure) but that doesn't mean he's the best PG in the league. Maybe one of the best scorers at the position (and in the NBA), but to me that's far from the only thing that defines a point guard.
I love Derrick Rose, and have since he's come into the league. He's one of my favorite players in the NBA, which saddens me because he's a Bull. After Williams, Nash and Paul he's the next best PG.

GAWD I dont get it... why are the clippers SO bad? They have decent players. A franchise player in Blake, A fringe franchise player in Eric Gordon, a young up and coming Pg in Bledsoe a young athletic center in Deandre Jordan yet they lose to busters like the Kings.
This team sucks and there's no hope for them.
If they had Lebron they'd still be battling for the 9th seed.

18 assist for Deron, pretty sick considering who he is passing the ball to.

They are the other part of LA.. don't think they play defense much at all really. I don't even get to watch them but I just feel like they don't always play SMART basketball..
O and if LeBron was on the Clips, they wouldn't be battling for a 9th seed. Did you forget what he did with the Cavs..? LA has a better roster than Cleveland haha.

They are still ridiculously young. As they mature they will get a lot better(especially if Aminu develops). Hard to expect too much from them at this point, but they are def on the right track.

Gordon and Blake will both go into FA and Aminu will sign a massive contract and then break his leg.
It is just how it goes with that "GM".

Good job the the Thunder to get him locked up early. Can't judge it until the terms are released though

Says Perk was seeking 4 years/30 million, if the contract was around that, it's a great signing. Less than a guy like Brendan Haywood.

Yup, that would be a great deal, especially considering that Green will likely get more than that adn they still have to lock up Westbrook and Ibaka( and eventually Durant again)

I just don't even know where to begin with it. How about the celebration of black history month on March 2nd? Since it's the Clippers, I'll just assume that they thought it would be on February 30th.
Plus, there's the implicit racist connection of "black history" and "underprivileged kids." And the fact that racist ass Sterling put himself and half-white Blake Griffin on an ad for black history.
Like I said, I'm at a loss for words. Typical, typical Clipper move.

Yeah my favorite part is how they're celebrating black history month by admitting poor kids for free.
Bc, you know, all black ppl are poor. And all poor ppl are black.
Not to mention that it's March. I'm seriously lol'ing over here.

Part of it is youth, part of it is Bledsoe/Jordan not being there yet, part of it is Vinny Del Negro.
And Donald Sterling has always been a racist piece of ****.

Ok Timberwolves, 25 of my hard earned dollars bought me a lower level seat tonight to watch you guys get destroyed by the Lakers.
I should be entitled to jacking up a 3 Ari Gold style since it's in the lower level, right?

this is what's impressing me so much. He's racking up these assists to 2 good offensive players in Bropez and MOrrow and then guys like Damion James, Outlol, Sasha and Humphries. like really? All with a bum wrist. i love him
also, nets had 3 guys with double doubles last night. color me shocked
