The reason you don't pick and roll with two guys that are the same size is because defenders can just switch on any screen. If they try to do that in the playoffs against Boston as their go to offensive play, they'll fail.

Except LeBron James isn't the same size... He is 6'8" 250 pounds and if you switch a SG on him, you lose almost every time. Did you see what he did to Kobe on that screen in the Lakers game?

Hedo just bricked two free throws that would have iced the game. Jesus. He was having such a beast game also, almost a triple double. 5.7 seconds left to win this tied game now.

are you implying Kobe can't guard Lebron?? -_-
Anyways, Look at how good Lebron good can be without having to worry about other things such as setting up teammates etc. Probably a glimpse of how he would've been as a knick.
Too bad we're watching his prime years getting wasted.

I'm all for the Pistons winning games as long as David Stern makes sure we get Kyrie Irving.

I was referring to the play where LeBron leveled him on the screen and Wade got to the rim with ease.

So 26-7-7 is wasting your prime years? Interesting... He could have been a 30-9-9 guy in New York I suppose, but LeBron is only going to become more and more efficient once he adjusts to not having to play the roll of "Hero." He is just starting to realize his potential as an off the ball player.

Carmelo Anthony had the worst game of his career and the Knicks got beat by the Pistons... prepare for the onslaught of media scrutiny.

Since the trade, the Knicks are 6-2 vs teams above .500.
They're 1-6 vs teams below .500....

I'm not worried about that. The Nuggets are a regular season team. They play tough defense and team basketball on offense, but they lack the superstar talent to do any real damage in the playoffs.
It's always a much harder transition for the team that aquires the star to mesh as a unit than a bunch of solid guys bc they already know how to share the ball. The star has to relearn sharing with a new cast, and that's harder to do.
I guess if you look at the glass half full, the Knicks beat good teams, which means right now they just lack the mental toughness to get up vs the bad teams.
I've gotten the impression that this team just wants the playoffs to start already. They just seem to lack the intensity vs mediocre teams. But they get pumped up for the good teams and they beat them.
That and I feel that Chauncey has been playing like crap.
We also lost like the last 7 friday night games. The team seems to be more worried about clubbing on a friday night than the game they play beforehand.

Billups just seems lost out there, call me crazy but I think we're much better off with Toney Douglas running the point. We get no ball movement with Billups and there seems to be no flow when he's in the game, he's turning the ball over wayyyy too much. Plus I can't understand why he's always trying to feed Jeffries.
The chemistry just isn't there with Chauncey, he missed some time so maybe that has something to do with it but he needs to stop making me feel like I'd rather have Anthony Carter taking his minutes.

Preaching to the choir. I feel the exact same way. Anthony Carter actually should get more minutes. He plays tough D and runs the point better.
Ever since Billups came back, we've been having problems. And we lose close games bc we bring him back with 3 minutes left in the game with the LEAD, and he manages to run the point so bad, the other team makes a comeback bc our offense goes to the shitter in the last 3 minutes with him out there.
It's happened 3 times now. He's gotta get it together quick, or else I think he just needs to get his ass on the bench.

You still have to start Chauncey AND have him in late game situations but I agree TD and Carter should get more minutes.. it would conserve Chauncey a little bit.

All he's done though is become a speed bump to the offense at the most crucial time of the game.
I think at this point you give him his minutes only because you hope he "gets it" with 13 games to go. But if he doesn't get it, then you just roll with Douglass and Carter and have Billups play 20 minutes at 2 Guard each game.
He simply has not been a good PG. Maybe some of that is his injury, bc truth be told, he does look worse since then, but regardless of why, the guy hasn't looked good at all.

You still need a third scoring threat in the playoffs. Carter is completely useless offensively and Douglass is too streaky to rely on for that.

Wolves gave the Lakers a good game last night. Actually was pretty entertaining to watch after all the college ball I watched yesterday. Wes Johnson looked very good and Andrew Bynum is an extremely dirty player.

I don't know if Billups can be that guy. The way he's playing right now, I don't think he is. I rather roll the dice on the hot hand in Douglass.
But then again, Billups would probably be more reliable in the playoffs. I dunno, all I can hope for is he gets his act together for the next 14 games.

Police engaged in a roughly one-hour standoff with a knife-wielding man on the arena floor of Staples Center before the Los Angeles Clippers hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers Saturday afternoon.
About 25 arena security guards descended on the man shortly after he was spotted walking onto the court with a knife and kept him surrounded until police arrived.
He eventually made his way to the visiting bench, which he stood in front of while talking to three Los Angeles police officers who had their guns drawn on him from approximately 20 feet away, at different angles.
Police tackled and detained the man at 11:20 a.m. after he made a move toward a tunnel leading off the court. He was placed in handcuffs and escorted out of the area by the police.

I love the potential of Toney Douglas and Landry Fields to grow for the future. That leaves Center as the only position where the Knicks need to upgrade, which would help their defense all on its own. My main issues with the Knicks are as follows: Mike D'Antoni and Chauncey Billups. One is not going to work well with Carmelo and the other is out of his prime, both are done in my opinion.

Pierce just got absolutely raped at half court by like three ******* guys for a good five seconds and no foul was called before a time out. Honestly just terrible officiating.
