The NBA now has hit an all time popularity. What people dont get is that the NBA is actually more popular now than it was when Michael Jordan is in the league.
|
It's not indicative of everywhere but the NBA is absolutely not close to as popular now as it was when Jordan ruled. Hell it isn't even as popular as it was when Grant Hill drank Sprite. It is a complete afterthought now as opposed to a mainstream topic of discussion.
May be different elsewhere though.
I'd also love to know the criteria on which you are basing it being more popular now. Attendances are down everywhere for a start.

I remember making the comparison his rookie year but Russell Westbrook is very much like the new Steve Francis. You need to pair him up with a dominant big instead of a dominant perimeter player. I can guarantee though that the Thunder won't be trading him. They are going to play this out until his contract is up in 2 years and then decide if they keep him.

Wade Phillips has a higher winning percentage than Bill Parcells. I'm sure that didn't happen by accident, either.

When I saw the headline the other day on ESPN.com, I figured it was Larry Brown until late last night..

Well, im going to say Im starting to like it a little more after hearing he was a part of the old Spurs teams with Duncan and Robinson. He is a defensive coach so maybe he will be able to get the best out of Bynum and Pau. Get us a young playmaker on the perimeter and that would be huge.

Im usually a level headed guy on here, but my god are the Heat a big bunch of ******* ***** ass floppers! LeBron acts like he just was sniped when someone touches him! ****! What makes it worse is that the refs look as if they are going to bail the Heat out for the rest of the game. ******** NBA, don't give those *********** the win!

It's a mystery to me how Ronnie Brewer ever makes a jump shot. Flying elbows everywhere.

Meh, they missed a call on D-Wade. Quit bitching about the refs, especially when up 10.

Refs are keeping them in the game, its not even debatable. There is no ******* way Rose isn't being fouled when he goes to the basket, yet where are his FT's?

I didn't think it was possible I could hate the Heat anymore.
And then they show their fans fistpumping in Miami.

Lebron has just completely owned Rose this series. Derrick just isn't there yet.
