I gotta agree with Dreadlock, people saying we should trade Bosh or any of the big 3 are idiotic.

But no shock, this year I have learned most people are idiots when discussing the NBA. That or blinded by hatrid.

And here is what LeBron really wanted to say, but he tried to filter it somehow and he failed. He wanted to really say, "**** my haters, sure they maybe happy and all now. However, tomorrow is a new day. Its time to find a new guy to **** on and hate. Brett Favre coming back anytime soon?" Thats what he wanted to say but did not want to say ****. Really, whatever LeBron says is gonna get criticized at this point. He could say "Congrats to the Mavs" and people would say its faking. So he should just really say **** u all and go away until October if they get the labor thing worked out or if not, later.

Great article by David Thorpe at espn.com talking about favorites in the East/West next year, Rick Carlisle, and a good portion about LBJ. Here's a portion:

Quote:
Anything you'd like to add?

The Decision ... that was a monumental mistake by a group of young men. Not just LeBron James, but the people around him. It potentially could drag him down forever.

Now that he has faded so dreadfully, he's destined for a dreadful, awkward summer of anguish and second-guessing his play. If that doesn't happen, he's just unbelievably arrogant, or a psychopath.

He just played so far below his level.

Prior to Game 5 when he and Wade mocked Dirk ... that was symbolic of their mindset. The right idea was to really, profoundly respect Dallas.

Not doing that is a classic character flaw that goes back to not really seeing reality. This showed, ultimately, from a player who has a chance to be top ten all time, a major underperformance. It's not like Dirk in 2006. He didn't ask for any of that. LeBron, on the other hand, has to question a lot. Going to Miami was not the problem, but a TV show to announce his decision, Tweeting "now or never" ... he's due for some soul searching.

LeBron James needs to admit that it's time to be much more humble.

And both James and Wade need to be much better shooters. Unless they're going to be surrounded with absolute lights-out shooters, they simply don't shoot well enough. They need to shoot 3-pointers incredibly well to achieve their full potential.

I only talk like this as someone who spent the night rewinding the DVR and seeing LeBron stand six feet away from the play, watching. Doing nothing.

As a thinking person, he'd have to be blown away at how average he was. Yes he had a triple-double in Game 5, but he could put up those numbers in his sleep.

If I were Pat Riley, I'd bring in a psychologist. And I'd say hey, man, you screwed up. But it's over.

Now it's time to forget this season and focus on the reality that you're a young man with a long future ahead of you, on and off the court. It's time to learn to be a loving person, to be a good teammate.

Don't sit and brood in your mansion all summer, because you'll end up a shell of yourself.

congrats mavericks - you have been made honorary ohioans for a day, lucky you.

http://www.cleveland.com/open/index....e_at_lebr.html

Quote:
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Why would the governor of Ohio issue a resolution recognizing a bunch of Texans as honorary Ohioans for a day? To take a swipe at LeBron James, of course.

The Dallas Mavericks defeated James' Miami Heat on Sunday night to win a best-of-seven series 4-to-2 and capture their first NBA championship while denying King James his opportunity to be a champion.

"Whereas, NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Dirk Nowitzki chose to re-sign with the Dallas Mavericks in the summer of 2010, forgoing free agency and keeping his talents in Dallas, thus remaining loyal to the team, city and fans for whom he played his entire career," reads the resolution from Gov. John Kasich.

Whoa! Score a bucket for the governor for hopping on the bandwagon scorning James for breaking up with his former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and their fans on national television last summer.

It's an old story with another chapter completed Sunday night: James drew the ire of Cleveland basketball fans after he went on ESPN to announce he was leaving the Cavs to "take my talents to South Beach." Even before he and his new teammates had ever played a game together he predicted they would win multiple championships. About that same time, Cavs majority owner Dan Gilbert fired off an angry missive directed at his former superstar player and predicted his now-lowly Cavs would recover and someday win an NBA ring before James.

Kasich's resolution proclaims the Mavericks, their friends, family and fans as honorary Ohioans, with all privileges and honors therein, for the day of June 14, 2011.

No one's finding a new guy to **** on when Lebron continues to put all the focus on himself. The decision, the signing parade, the dirk incident, etc... The guy needs to shut the **** up. Nothing he says is going to help, the only thing the guy can do is stop tweeting, stop bitching and making excuses, and just play lights out and let his play do all the talking. Thats the best thing Lebron could do for himself, but hes way to ******* stupid to realize that so he'll continue to say and do stupid **** and people will continue to bash him for it. Lebron only has Lebron to blame for the media attention he gets.

It's their first season playing together and they were 2 games away from reaching their goal. They lost to a better/deeper team in the Mavs, but I expect the Heat to add some help this offseason. Adding a Center is one thing they should do, since Anthony is serviceable, but can't help at all on offense. They also need another PG behind Chalmers, since Bibby has been done for awhile. A good defender at PG that can also shoot would help alot.

I think players will take less money to join them, but I do expect them to make a few moves to try and free up some money. They do have 9 contracts expiring and only 2 guys they should bring back(Chalmers and Jones).

My translation of Lebrons interview:

I may have lost and you people might enjoy it now, but tomorrow your life still sucks in comparison to mine because I have money. Now I'll throw in my family to make it seem like I'm not talking about money when thats all I'm about. I'm rich *****!

Also lets not forget for the most part the heat rolled teams all the way to the NBA finals. They are barely scratching the tip of the iceberg. Just way to fashionable to hate on lebron/ the heat.

They won't win if Lebron continues with his lack luster play. Thing is, they may have been close, but would have easily won if typical Lebron showed up. They should have already won a championship. What good is it if they keep getting here, and Lebron doesn't show up? There is obviously just a problem. What your saying might make sense if Lebron played his game and they fell short, but he wasn't doing things he does with ease.

I remember 1 play, which I dvr'd so I'll have to check later, but Lebron drove to the paint, there was congestion but an easy drive to the hole, and he finger rolled an air ball right at the rim. Nothing was stopping him from coming with force, raising up and dunking on everyone. Nothing ever stops that. I'm almost starting to believe this is a theme with him that's not going away next year.

It's just ignorant to think that this is all just fashion or the media. Lebron deserves everything that he is getting right now. It is easy to say that they are barely scratching the surface, but Lebron needs to have a psychological makeover to be what the Heat expected him to be, and what he should easily be, if only he wasn't so ******* stupid.

I've been saying it all season and I've taken a lot of heat for it (no pun), but I'll say it again:

LeBron James is a coward.

I didn't realize it until he shown his true colors this year. The dude is what he is.

Cowards quit on their team in the playoffs.
Cowards pass the ball like a hot potato in the 4th quarter
Cowards make fun of other people's injuries during a series that isn't over yet even though you act like it is.
Cowards crumble under pressure.
Cowards blame everyone but themselves
Cowards use the "my life is better than yours" line to validate themselves after disappointment
Cowards try to buy a championship when they realize they can't do it on their own.
Cowards are afraid to draw contact late in the 4th quarter bc they're afraid of missing clutch free throws.

I can go on and on. The guy isn't a coward as a man, let me make that clear.

But he's a coward as a basketball player.

Yep. Perfectly put. LeCoward Shames has become the joke of the NBA and he brought this all upon himself. The Legends of the game are laughing at him, his peers are laughing at him, NBA fans are laughing at him and even half the Miami fans are feeling disgusted with him.

Nobody can cheer for a cheater. He basically tried to cheat his way to championship.

But another thing that irked me with his decision is that I knew when he went there that we would no longer get to see the best player he could be. He's not able to reach his full potential there because the team has other talents to lean on. We don't get to see him put the team on his back. Those days are over. He was great when he was in Cleveland and everybody liked him. You almost gotta feel sorry for him, but no... he brought this on himself. I can't respect him.

I thought it was funny putting these two clips back to back 4 years later:

BTW the end of this video is whats wrong with the media and why Bron is so f'ed up in the head thinking he's God. I hate the argument that inferior players can't comment on better players even if they are right. It's such a stupid argument. The are peers, but I don't see what Bron even until today has ever earned to be revered by other players.

Guess Bron thought Haywood was still trying to hurt him. Everyone knows I've been a Bron hater forever, ever since those Wizards series with the Cavs in which he was being a whiny biotch because Haywood was fouling him when he went to the rim and he was too used to being treated like a princess.

LeBron James got a traffic ticket today for blocking the road. Apparently, he was too scares to drive through the open space.

LeBron decided to change his number to 32, so he can chase becoming the next Karl Malone.

LeBron is taking a page out of Chad Johnson's book and changing his name to King Ames.

LeBron has decided to play hockey so he doesn't have to play the 4th quarter.

An ad in the Miami Herald has mistakenly congratulated the Heat on winning the 2011 NBA championship. A full-page ad that ran in Monday's edition reads "Congratulations Miami" next to photos of Heat championship T-shirts and hats from Macy's. One T-shirt reads "Heat 2011 NBA Finals Champions" and the ad shows the Heat's logo on a hat with the words "NBA Champions."

Doh!!
