It's all speculation, but I think they would have. Yes, Bosh came up big in some of those games against Chicago, but having that extra 20 million could have bought them a ton of depth which they so desperately need.
The Heat have so few options going forward because their entire payroll is tied up in three players, two of whom do basically the exact same thing.

I agree. I think they could have made it just as far, if not further, with a number of other options at PF. Miami got duped with Bosh thinking he was gonna be a game-changer at the PF position.

Even given how ridiculous it sounds it makes complete sense. Wade, Bosh, and Howard complement each other perfectly and that would be way more than Orlando could ever have expected to get for Dwight.
The Heat won't give up on the big 3 already though.

It is way too ballsy and realistic to ever happen. But both teams would be so much better off for it.

Yep, you could pretty much pencil in Miami for a mini-dynasty (until Wade fell off) if they had Howard for Lebron.

Yeah seriously. And that team would also be so much more likeable. Still have to hate Bosh, but at least the megadouche would be gone.

Damn that sucks. That means Lebron would literally never win a championship. That would do more damage to his legacy then this past finals, the decision, the 7+ championship guarantee ever did.

Anyone think Boozer gets moved? I dont want him in Orlando, but there has been a lot of Boozer trade speculation as of late, after he **** the bed in the playoffs.
The examiner was throwing out things like...
SG Jason Richardson (sign and trade)
PF Ryan Anderson
for
PF Carlos Boozer
or
SG J.J. Redick
PF Brandon Bass
draft picks
for
PF Carlos Boozer
Talk about selling low on the 2nd one, but many seem to believe he may be done in Chicago. Really I dont buy him going to the Magic at all anyway, given that it would be a pretty boneheaded inter-conference trade for Chicago.

a lot of people are still very high on Flynn, Suns are and it's likely that the Knicks would be as well as the it's basically the same system

Yeah, I don't see it as a bad deal given NY's system and Douglas' injury. If NY can get another draft pick out of it, even better for them.

Flynn is coming off injury as well. The only way I am doing basically a Douglas-Flynn swap is if I am getting the #20 draft pick with it

Those people aren't very smart. He's just flat out not good at anything. He might be able to put up some inflated empty stats in a system like that but he's garbage on both ends of the floor.

Yeah, I agree. TD plays defense and can hit the 3. Flynn is more of the pure PG but he does nothing. If it's Douglas for Flynn straight up, Minnesota is getting the better deal.

Minnesota could trade Jonny Flynn for three hot cheetos and some pocket lint and they'd still get the better deal.

I doubt it. Studies show people in Minnesota prefer the cheeto puffs

I can't see any reason why anyone would want to give us anything for Johnny Flynn. He is just a really poor basketball player.

According to yahoo sports...the Kings are really interested in Raymond Felton. Felton would be a much better fit for that team, opposed to say Jimmer or Kemba, if he were to fall. I actually would love to see this happen.
I like the sound of a Felton/Evans back court. Then you factor in Cousins and what Thornton gives you in a 6th man role. That's an exciting team. Sucks that they're in the West, but the Kings do have some really great young talent, and a Felton addition could really help turn that franchise around.

God I hope the Magic can land Josh Smith, him and Dwight together would shut down the lane completely. All the stories are right I'm tired of Josh being the scape goat for the lack of playoff success when in actuality we should be blaming that guy who's the highest paid player in the league, or the inept coaches. Josh no doubt has lapses in judgment but he still shoots good percentages and is a great passer. I'll take those 4-5 bad plays a game with the good. I think if he got to play beside Dwight his shot blocking would be near the top of the league again. Not sure what the Magic could offer because Hawks aren't touching one of those bad contracts but maybe Jammer+Bass centered trade, but the Hawks are looking center or SF so that solves neither.

I've never liked Josh Smith...but a Nelson/Bass deal would make some sense for both teams. But god, starting Arenas is just a sickening proposition.
It all really depends on how much the Hawks really value Smith.
If they want a SF, they could even go for Iggy straight up, if they wanted. They'd still have a hole at PF or C, though. Depending upon where they want Horford.

Obviously Deron and Lopez won't be involved so what exactly can the Nets offer in a C or SF? Travis Outlaw lol.
