Same issue with the Celts, imo. Who exactly do you trade?
I'm assuming the Big 3, Rondo and J.Green aren't getting moved.

Why? Jeff Green is a terrible start to getting compensated for Josh Smith, especially considering the big 3 + Rondo are not going anywhere in that deal. You're trading a really good, young player for Jeff Green and scraps. Atlanta needs a C so they can let Horford play a more natural PF spot, IMO.

Trade him to the Clippers for Kaman. If Kaman works out, you can re-sign him, if not...you're free like $12 million.

Apparently the Pacers offered the Wolves Roy Hibbert and pick #15 for #2. But they've turned that offer down.

And that douche bag Fran Vazquez, decided to re-sign and stay in Spain. He wanted no part of the potential NBA lockout, and enjoys it over there...so he signed a two year extension.

Wilbon was talking yesterday about how the Wolves and Lakers were talking about a Love for Pau swap and throwing in number 2.
I like Pau, and the guy helped us win 2 titles.....but if that offer is on the table they need to take that **** now.
Pau and Love both suck on defense but Love can spread the floor a little more. hes a great rebounder so we will improve there. And with the 2 pick we can go with Derrick Williams who would be the obvious choice or we could go with whichever PG we like more if we feel that is a more needed position.

If that happens, the NBA needs to take Kahn's job away. Trade away your best player and ur best pick in recent years for the 2nd softest power forward in the league who is aging. Maybe something else is in that????

Taking him over Danny Granger was a great idea.

Thats what I am thinking. I dont think there is anyway Minny is dumb enough to do that straight up but Kahn has been quoted a **** ton saying they need veteran leadership.
If they are dumb enough to do that....wow.

It kinda makes sense, since they feel that Pau's presence would help Rubio transition. But still a very one-sided trade.
It's tough to gauge prospect fits for the Lakers because they're no longer running the triangle. It'll be interesting to see how that team adapts to a new offensive system.

I'm not convinced that Love is all that great . He compiled stats for a horrible team. Big deal.

He would still be a great compliment to the guys we already have and throw in a guy like Derrick Williams/Brandon Knight or Kemba Walker and we just increased our athleticism and got much younger....and IMO a little better also.

I would probably renounce my fanship if this happens. Until Kahn is gone at least. I am terrified for Thursday.

Lots of stuff coming out recently. The Bulls are dangling Carlos Boozer out there and are aggressively pursuing Joe Johnson. And in Atlanta, the Hawks are putting Josh Smith on the block.

Bulls getting Joe Johnson would be very sexy, I wonder if they can pull that off and keep Deng. Sounds like the Hawks are doing a rehaul, as they should have before. What's the point of 2nd round playoff trips if your not a championship team? They have some pieces in play to shake things up.

He's far and away the best rebounder in the league, and he's a 6'9 chubby white guy. He's really good at that. He shoots a lower percentage than you'd like because a lot of his shots are slap backs at the rim that bounce around a while. He's building his game offensively, and he still has a lot of potential to tap out on that end of the court. If he can improve his defense in the slightest, he's an All-NBA kinda guy.

Minnesota has apparently made an offer to the Lakers for Andrew Bynum that includes the #2 pick. Nothing stated about Kevin Love.

Question for you basketball gurus...
In a pure basketball sense... which starting 5 is better?
Team A
PG Brandon Knight
SG Kevin Martin
SF Andrei Kirilenko
PF Dirk Nowitzki
C Amare Stoudemire
or
Team B
PG Mike Conley
SG Kevin Martin
SF Wes Johnson
PF Dirk Nowitzki
C Pau Gasol
Considering chemistry, ball movement, personalities, defense, offense, future outlook... which team do you think is better?

The carcass of Andrei Kirilenko is just about worthless now a days. I'd take the playmaking ability of Mike Conley over the rookie Brandon Knight, anything is better than AK47, and if it were between Amar'e and Pau for me, i'd go with Pau strictly on health concerns. You're really screwed either way starting Stoudemire or Gasol at C defensive-wise, but i'd rather have two soft, good rebounding 7 footers than a lazy PF that's mostly interested in playing on offense.
