One thing that makes me upset about the Paul-to-Clippers trade: going in with a group of friends on a luxury box will no longer be economically possible.

Seriously, that **** used to be so cheap.

I should also mention, our downfall coincides with the departure of John Hammond. He was Joe Dumars' right hand man from 2001-2008. He left in April of 2008 to take over the Bucks GM spot.

Just check out our history while he was with the team. We were 32-50 in 2001:

2002 - 50-32, 2nd Round
2003 - 50-32, Eastern Conerence Finals
2004 - 54-28, NBA Championship
2005 - 54-28, NBA Finals
2006 - 64-18, Eastern Conference Finals
2007 - 53-29, Eastern Conference Finals
2008 - 59-23, Eastern Conference Finals

and now:

2009 - 39-43, Swept in 1st Round
2010 - 27-55, #7 Overall Pick
2011 - 30-52, #8 Overall Pick

PG.

Rondo, Deron, CP3, Jrue Holiday, Derrick Rose, Collison, John Wall, Stephon Curry, Steve Nash, Tyreke Evans, Brandon Jennings, Ty Lawson, Westbrook are all either really good or fringe elite.

Plus, who knows whether Rubio and or Kyrie Irving will turn out to be studs as well.

Ehhh, I'll give you 5ish. A couple of those guys definitely aren't "true" point guards...just scorers who handle the ball a bit more. (Westbrook, Curry) and Nash is old (fenikz to his defense in 3...2....) The rest you overrate.

I'll give you that it's the strongest position at the top.

SF and PF are pretty good, too.

Once you get out of the top 5 in most positions in football, there's usually a pretty big dropoff and guys are mostly interchangeable after that. In a game like basketball, with 10 guys on the floor at a time, it's going to really stand out.

Eh, I don't know. I could probably rattle off 20 receivers or pass rushers who are damn good. There will be some drop off from the top guy to #20 obviously, but I don't think it's as drastic or sharp as it would be in basketball.

This sounds like a fun game. I might make a thread in the NFL discussion.
