For as much love as Harden gets, despite his draft position OJ is pretty similar in offensive production.

OJ Mayo
12.1 PPG, 3.1 RPG, 2.1 APG, 1.0 SPG, 1.7 TOPG, .411 FG, .367 3P, .739 FT, 26.6 MPG

James Harden
17.2 PPG, 4.1 RPG, 3.5 APG, 1.0 SPG, 2.0 TOPG, .487 FG, .365 3P, .847 FT, 31.8 MPG

Thats really not that similar. Especially 49% to 41% shooting.

Except that he shoots lower percentages, scores less, and gets fewer assists/rebounds.

Not to mention Mayo takes more shots a game and still averages considerably lower.

Everyone knows that OKC should just ship him and Ibaka over to us for Howard. Durant can get him to sign, i mean really. It'd kill their depth...but Westbrook, Durant, Howard? Good luck everyone else.

Andddd Westbrook would still hold the ball for 15 seconds and either throw up a shot or pass with 3 left.

I wish that trade would go down.. but I don't know how it could. Harden and Ibaka only make around $6 Million combined.

Perkins would have to be involved, too. And whoever else.

It would be amazing, though. I would love it, personally.

The Magic prefer to trade him to Chicago right now, according to the current "rumors". Deng/Asik are fine I guess to keep around, but screw Boozer...they'd have to flip that ****. But who really wants him? ugh.

Yep, that's why they'd be better of building their package around Westbrook and Perkins. Maynor - Harden - Durant - Ibaka - Howard. Championship. Or try and move Westbrook for Rondo if they have to give up Ibaka and Harden to get Dwight.

Boozer gets way too much ****. He's playing really well this year.

Well Maynors out this year, but statistically they didnt drop off when he replaced Westy on the court. Westbrook and Perkins would be a nice combo for Magic, but I doubt they sign him long term just to trade him.

I was thinking moving forward. This year it'll mean Harden having to take over more of the primary ball handling duties and they'll have to tough it out in the playoffs with the Ibaka-Howard block party and Durant and Harden going apeshit on people.

Admittedly I really do dislike RussWest, a lot, and so am pretty biased against him. Kid just rubs me the wrong way, the way Tardbury did when he was with KG in Minny.

Josh Smith isn't missing much tonight, he'd be a great complement to Cousins at PF....

Im not a fan either. As some people liked to point out (because they disagree), I believe in roles, and one role is your PG shouldn't shoot that much, but facilitate and defend.

Smoove has been incredible since the allstar break, i heard a rumor of Smoove and Marvin to the Cavs for Jamison and Sessions, if that happens i will lose all hope in my Hawks franchise, i was adamantly against resigning JJ even before we knew he got the max. Even as a Hawks fan I kind of want Smoove traded because he's my favorite player. He gets all the heat when JJ's bum ass collecting checks isn't doing squat, and Horford gets treated better than he is, although he is an allstar caliber player. I would love to see Smoove and D12 somehow end up together in 2012 like they have talked about. Just not sure where because Smoove has to be traded to switch teams.

I remember they was talking about a sign and trade with Smoove to Philly, but I forgot exactly who you guys were gonna get (it wasnt Iggy)

I was excited for so long imagining the fast break opportunities.

I bet Chicago would love if that were to go down. I also don't think OKC is worried about making a big shake-up. We can all sit down and talk about what would look good on paper, but what incentive do they have to move Westbrook, Harden, Ibaka, or Perkins right now? They are playing awesome, have been all season, and their problem wasn't that they weren't good enough it was that they were too young. I don't think they have any reason to make a big shake up trade. This isn't Atlanta yet, where they have a great core but continually get bumped out of the playoffs early.

Ibaka is the type of player championship teams need, Harden is about as valuable as you can get off the bench, and Westbrook isn't going anywhere for a while. The sooner the team realizes he's a natural 2 guard the better off he'll be and the team will be, but it's not like they have struggled up to this point.

That would be a pretty big steal for the Bulls. Would be disappointed in seeing Luolz go though. He is just such a fun player to root for. I also would bet you'd get the Bulls 1st and Charlotte's 1st that is lottery protected until 2016.

I actually like the trade to be honest. I know Deng is a solid player, but your killing two birds with one stone. Getting Dwight and away from Boozers contract. Can you imagine in the finals Pau and Bynum vs Noah and Howard?? You still have Gibson to play backup big. I personally (being a homer) would start Korver then, because he doesnt need to be a defensive machine because of the low post guys. Hedo would be a 6th man type guy because hed probably be motivated to play on a championship type team.

Thats really not that similar. Especially 49% to 41% shooting.
should've said a poor man's james harden. He does play 5 minutes less per game which is actually a really big difference.

And if we are comparing the 2's rookie seasons purely on a statistical standpoint:

John Wall: 16.4 ppg, 8.3 apg, 4.6 rpg, 1.8 spg, 3.8 topg
Kyrie Irving:18.3 ppg, 5.4 apg, 3.5 rpg, 1.0 spg, 2.9 topg
Is FG% not a statistic?
