I ******* hate how pessimistic you always are. Our team is incredibly young and very injured. We have lots of potential for the future. Get over it.

Name all of our young players that have real potential, besides Rubio, D-Will and Love. I just hate seeing how awful this team has been just because one player gets injured.

To recap:
1. Vote was made to hear proposals at the city council meeting to raise funds for arena. The vote was actually a "no" vote, but the issue was whether or not to put the vote on a public ballot. A "yes" would have killed it because no one can get 30% of people to agree on anything in California, much less a majority
2. TNT crew (including Chris Webber) botches the story the following night, saying the "no" vote killed the Kings in Sacramento
3. All-Star weekend, the Kings, Sacramento, AEG and NBA jointly agree to a term sheet keeping the Kings in Sacramento. Now the city must come up with a quarter of a billion dollars in the next 3 weeks. Kevin Johnson and Joe/Gavin Maloof are seen crying and smiling as they leave. George is seen sulking in the background with a frown.
4. Sacramento city council meeting is held weeks later to raise funds via the sale of publicly held parking structures. Vote passes 7-2. The Kings will move to downtown Sacramento as a part of a downtown renaissance and transit hub. KJ, Gavin and Joe Maloof continue to sing praises of the ability of the two parties to make something work in Sacramento. George continues to sulk in the background.
5. Fast forward to last week--$3.25 million in predevelopment costs are due to begin the work for the new arena. Maloofs fail to pay it. David Stern covers his frat boy owners by advancing $200k from the NBA fund. Maloofs must pay the money back and will have to pick up the rest of the costs in two weeks.
6. George Maloof comes from sulking in the background to the foreground to say in no business venture he has ever been part of has the "tenant" ever paid the predevelopment costs. The Kings would be a tenant in this new arena while the city of Sacramento will own the arena. Essentially, George says "Suck it Sacramento". Keep in mind the city is on tap for $250M while the Maloofs are putting up $60M for the arena. Also of note, the term sheet agreed to less than a month (by George and the other Maloofs) prior also clearly states the Maloofs will pay the $3.25M in predev costs.
7. Mayor Kevin Johnson says "I don't like being dicked around. We had a deal" (or something like that) while Stern tries to be diplomatic while also scolding the Maloofs.
That's where we are today. We are heading into the Board of Governors meeting for the NBA owners. This was supposed to be a celebration of a city fighting to keep its team and the small market retaining the team with eyes set on a larger market.
And now we have this comment from Stern "I'm hopeful because the city of Sacramento has between last meeting and this, has been responsible for responding on a sponsorship basis, on a ticket basis and on allocating $250 million or so for a new arena. In basically a week — what's today? Wednesday — in a week, our owners will be coming in for meetings next Thursday and next Friday, and we'll be having the Maloofs in to talk with some group of them and we'll see where it's going."
This Board of Governors meeting may turn into a "pony up or GTFO" ultimatum toward the Maloofs. If KJ doesn't like to be dicked around, David Stern likes to be dicked around even less. There was a term sheet that was agreed upon and the Maloofs (George specifically) are backing out. The city of Sacramento has done everything asked of them and more. They have gone the extra mile in making HUGE concessions to the Maloof family. And George Maloof is trying to leverage the situation even more.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Maloofs are forced out McCourt-style. This could get ugly real soon.

Why are you still allowing yourself to care ej? The season was over weeks ago. A full season from Love, Ricky, and Pek, improvement from Williams, and an improvement at SG and this is a playoff team next year.

Pek has potential to be a very good center. Ellington could be a very good bench player. So we have a **** ton of young potential at 4 of the 5 positions, and a few good bench players in Ellington, Ridnour, and Barea. We need a shooting guard and our young players to develop.

All I want this offseason is a legitimate starter at SG. That's all I'm asking for.

IDK how McCourt is anything like this
The Maloofs have plenty of money and if Sacramento doesn't want to poney up the cash then they will just move the team

Not really. The Maloofs are flat broke.
And Sacramento ponied up 4 times the amount the Kings did. It was also Sacramento who endorsed the help of AEG who will operate the arena and contribute just as much as the Kigns. The Kings will put in 1/6 of the arena pie--pretty much exactly what they can sell their current arena/land for.

I remember when Jordan played good defense earlier this year but it seems so long ago even in a shortened season.

Calling Pau an asshole and loving Blake? Oh the humanity.

He went to the ground both times Blake threw it down on him.
And what exactly do you mean when you say someone isnt going to stand for Blakes ****? You mean when the Hornets tackled him? He came right back at them with a hard foul the next game. Either stop the ball from getting in the net or be on the next poster. Its not like Blake hasnt been blocked before and hes dealt with his share of fouls. Do you really dislike Blake or do you hate how much everyone else loves him? Are you " that guy"?

he comes off smug.
anyways, I don't disagree with anything except people saying Pau is an asshole. He's a genuine guy that plays his heart out.
Also, how good is andrew bynum. I know lately he's been a punk but my god is he talented. Him and Demarcus Cousins will be the best offensive Centers in a years time.
fitting they're both kind of immature.
Bynum currently is 2nd in the league in fg % behind only tyson chandler.
EDIT: nevermind. I forgot about Bargnani.
