Whether it was drawn up or not, still a terrible play. Do you think a play was called, and they just went out there and said, "Ef this, look at KD on the baseline vs. Lebron, let's try to post him up," or just that there was no play?
I think Durant improvised because he saw something, like a clear lane or an obvious foul.
I don't think any coach would draw up a play that asks said player to drive and tie the game down by two and leave more than 7 seconds on the clock.
They also drove a lot more and garnered those fouls. It's not really a big deal, they're two of the best slashers in the league and they get to the line a lot. Westbrook was settling for way too many jumpers and **** happens.
You mean to tell me there wasn't at 1 point tonight when either Wade or James got a call they didn't really deserve?
Kevin Durant earned that last foul Lebron was all over him as he was dribbling going up for the shot. Meanwhile if the situation was reversed I have no doubt that Lebron or Wade would have gotten the call.
You gotta know in that situation they are going to be less ticky-tack about fouls. Had he actually attacked the hoop instead of pulling up and fading away from contact, he probably would have got the call.
It was an instinctive play because Lebron was eating butterflies on defense. He got caught off guard and spun inside and had the lane to drive in and got fouled. It wasn't a bad play at all to be honest, i would have preferred KD to keep driving in, but the foul still should have been called. Oh well.
Everything went wrong for OKC and everything went right for Miami and they only won by 4. I don't like the chances of it but i can see the Thunder taking two of three in Miami with Miami not really having much of a homefield advantage.
Battier is doing what he can do at this stage of his career, and he doesn't get the calls nearly as often as you would think for his flopping. Harden's just a reckless bastard, that's why his flopping is over the top and goes both ways so often.
Right, he's doing what he can, but it's still garbage. It's terrible for the game that they're allowing these guys to just flop and dive around everywhere. Battier pisses me off because he flopped in just about every situation possible. That 3 that he chucked up and banked? Dove backwards like if there was an explosion in front of him. Setting an offensive screen on your own side of the court out of an inbounds? Flop backwards. Someone driving to the lane? Better go flop some more! Shoulder rubs slightly on my chest? Better jump backwards and hope to get the call!
It's complete trash. Half of them weren't called (thankfully), but it doesn't make it any less ******* irritating.
