Well maybe the refs are a part of it...

But the refs have not blown Thunder double digit leads the last two games.

The refs have not been the reason James Harden fallen off the face of the Earth.

The refs are not the reason the Thunder have shot 7 for 40 from 3-point land in the last two games.

The refs are not the reason the Thunder have committed clear, stupid, inexperienced fouls at times.

Its not the refs fault the NBA has a rediculous rule that the shot clock goes back to 5 in that situation (even I would say thats a dumb rule even tho it helped my team)

I'm not blaming the refs for the Thunder being down 3-1, the Heat have made more plays than they have, and they deserve their credit. You're right about all of those things, but despite all of that and there being favoritism towards the Heat (whether it's pre-meditated or not, you can't ignore that it's there), the Thunder have had a chance to win every single game. Just speaks volumes to how good they are despite being completely inexperienced and boneheaded at times.

It has been a great series so far, if i was a Heat fan i'd be elated that my team was on the brink of a championship in an incredibly entertaining series, but it's frustrating, to say the least, to see so the glaring bias from the officiating crew.

It just bugs me that a guy that took 32 shots yesterday some how managed to only get 3 free throws.

There's a whole lot of reasons why the Thunders has been falling short and the refs isn't the reason.

Harden disappeared, not saying he's horrid, but he's 22 and it's his first nba finals.

If they could make their free throws.

Weak fouls on Lebron in a fastbreak when knowingly he's going to get to the rim making you look like a child in the process.

and plenty of other things, but blaming it solely on the refs is dumb.

no, bantx, Harden was completely, awfully, horrid and could easily shoulder the entire blame for last night's loss.

I just don't see why Harden/Westbrook NEED to bring up the ball every time up. Neither is a point, and both always look to get theirs first. Westbrook got hot and was an absolute beast in the fourth last night, but Harden looked like a rookie out there. Just complete deer in the head lights look.

Well I did list that as one of the reasoning's as to why they are losing so I don't see what you're trying to reiterate here..

Why? Did you even watch the game? He definitely didn't deserve many more, if any at all.

Russ definitely got fouled a handful of times driving to the basket and got no calls. On the other hand, if you floated within a two foot radius of Lebron, it was a foul. And he was letting everyone know about it.

Not to mention that absolutely pathetic flop call he got on Fisher. That **** was ******* weak and even he knew it.

Havent read this whole convo, but aggressive teams always get more calls, and Miami has been much more aggressive than the jump shooting Thunder. So when LeBron drives, he'll get calls that Westbrook wont. Its stupid, but thats how its always been.

Except the shot charts will show differently. Throughout the playoffs, finals included, teams have attacked the Heat just as much. The FT disparity is still heavily in favor of Miami.

Again, i'll repeat, i am in no way putting this solely on the officiating, but it absolutely sucks when you can't get into a rhythm defensively because the other team is constantly getting foul calls. I haven't seen this many off the ball fouls called on a team in a long time.

Why on earth would the officials favor the Heat? What's in it for them?

I dont care about shot charts at all. Just watching the games, Miami has LOOKED more aggressive every night, and thats all that matters, especially when referees dont have shot charts and such mid-game. They get sucked into it and start making calls that benefit the team thats taking it to the other side, just as they have every single season before this. Stats really dont matter when it comes to this.

You could seriously make a 'referees suck!' argument about every single game ever played if you want. After every Rockets loss, I think that the refs were the ones who swayed the game. And thats because of what Tackle said yesterday, 99% of NBA fouls are so ticky tack, every time the team youre cheering for is losing, it makes it feel like the refs are being one sided.

I don't disagree with what you're saying, but the factual aspect of it (both teams attacking the paint at a fairly even pace) just proves how much of it is completely subjective. The Heat have gotten the majority of the calls, even most of the off-ball calls (Lebron i'm looking at you flopping when Fisher "hit" you), and there really isn't anything to dispute against that. I get that most fouls are 50/50 type of calls, but how is it that they've gotten favored in that aspect for like 95% of the playoff games this year? Not so 50/50 after all, right?

Superstars get calls. NBA refs are ******* terrible. WE GET IT. Thunder got an ass load of calls in the Spurs series. There have been games when the Heat get ****. The reffing in this series has been the same as every ******* series ever. But since the Heat are in it we have to talk about the refs favoritism of THE ******* HEAT! How about we discuss some ******* basketball.

That's part of the NBA game, so if you don't like it skip over it instead of whining like a 12 year old girl. We're having a calm and thorough discussion on it, not just throwing expletives out for the sake of getting my point across like you are.

You have the extremes on both ends in this thread. There's Soybean who's always whining about the refs no matter what, then there's DG who's always blasting off even if there is a semi-valid point made against his team. I think MS is making a pretty fair argument. Of course there's me who always calls out DG for calling out Soybean.

I do hate the heat, and I DO think the refs are favoring them but I'm also not stupid in thinking they're the reason it's 3-1. Like Pete Carroll and USC use to say "Leave No Doubt" You shouldn't let the game be close enough for the refs to matter. (i do agree about the rhythm stuff though too)

What is the motivation/reasoning from the refs perspectives to unjustly and knowingly favor the Heat?

Or do you think it is a subconscious favoring?
