The New Orleans Hornets just extended head coach Monty Williams contract for another four years. It's going to be excited what he can do with some talent on the roster; regardless of how young or how little talent they have on the roster now, they had even less last year.

Part of me hopes they kind of suck again this year, but ownership stays patient. One more big draft pick would make them really fun to watch.

They're going to suck for a while. I love Davis, but they've surrounded him with the absolute worst team humanly possible and it's a ******* mess around him. Forcing him to play center and starting Ryan Anderson? Starting Austin Rivers (or hopefully Vasquez) at PG? Aminu's continued presence? It's a disaster waiting to happen.

I still can't get over how stupid the Austin Rivers pick was.

I dont think Rivers will be a good starter by any means, but I could see him being a decent scorer off the bench...decent being the key word.

I guess sickwithit, but they should have taken Zeller or Sullinger or Royce White or Kendall Marshall there.

Rumors are the Anderson will play the 5 and Davis the 4 on defense while they swap on offense. If you look the numbers from last year, Anderson was pretty good at the 5. It's a pretty bold strategy that could pay off in the end.
There are also rumors that the PG situation is just for this year. There are more rumors swirling that the team will try to go after Chris Paul after this season and bring him back to New Orleans. If, IF they could do that and get a top 5 pick out of this year's draft somehow, then they could be a very interesting team to watch in the future. Rivers would be relegated to a 6th man/Eric Gordon insurance in case he goes down with an injury.

Royce White was the absolute correct answer there. If they took White and found any half-decent Center, they would have had some killer versatility at the 3-4-5.

Nope. I don't see Chris Paul coming back to New Orleans, not after the way he left. He's gone on record as saying how much he likes the city of New Orleans and people are inferring that as well as the ownership/coaching of the LAC and combining the two to form their opinion that he would at least entertain offers about rejoining the Hornets.
Like I said, though, I don't see it.

Yeah, Sullinger was never an option for anyone that high after everything with his back. Marshall and Zeller I agree would have been better picks...dont know enough about White to have an opinion there.

I love Davis too, but I agree with the bold.
They definitely should not have taken Rivers. So stupid.

I'm worried the Hawks will try to pursue Harden. It just seems like Joe Johnson all over again. Good players, but overpaid and not guys who will ever lead a team anywhere.
