He's going to sit behind the overpaid DeRozan for the rest of his career.

2 Points (1/6), 2 Rebounds, and 1 Assist in 13 minutes so far this year.
One day he'll do stuff.... one day...........

Not really getting a chance to play yet. We'll see.

Everyone gets overpaid in the NBA. It's not like we were going to use that cap elsewhere so I'm fine with it. DeRozan continues to improve each year.

Not to that extent. He got $4 million less than Ty Lawson despite the fact that he can't shoot, he can't rebound, he can't pass, he can't defend and he basically just bundles up shots to score points while being a good dunker. In no way is he worth even close to $10 million. Guys like him are a dime a dozen.

MA-GIC! MA-GIC! MA-GIC!
Davis: 22 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals
Afflalo: 22 points & 4 rebounds
Redick: 24 points & 6 assists
Vucevic: 18 points, 13 rebounds, 3 assists, +26
3'Twaun: 15 points, 6 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals
Too bad it was just against the lowly Suns.

That sounds somewhat like Blake Griffen...
...Blake can rebound a little bit...but pretty dang close.

Well at least there is less of a chance of him leaving now, which seems like the biggest problem that the Raptors have.
But still...what a dunker.

I could compare him to a ton of contracts that are far worse too. He was shooting a lot better towards the end of last year and so far through three games hasn't been bad. I know I don't jerk off to advanced metrics like you, and I'm not claiming DeRozan is a stud or anything, but he's improving.

Blake's a dominating post player on offense, and he's a great rebounder. He's much, much, much better than DeRozan.

I also watch Raptors games and see how ineffective DeRozan is as well, so whatever you say Baines (although he looks better in 3 games this season). Find me some worse contracts.

At the time of the contract...
-Much more productive than Demar with a multitude of offensive skills, even if it was largely because of his effectiveness around Dwight and with Rashard Lewis
-Charlotte is stupid
-Not at all, he's a much better player than Demar right now
-Much better player
-Much better player at the time, probably still

I also didn't include the contract sizes and years of the deal. When you factor in age and potential he's a better signing than all five of these.

Haven't you learned, Bulldogs? Brodeur watches every single game in the NBA and is right about every player and you're wrong. That's how it works.

No, i'm sure you do. You watch every single basketball, football, baseball and hockey game. Every movie and tv show also. And everyone else is wrong. I'm surprised you even have time to go to school, brody, since you're always watching and analyzing everything that happens, ever.

Derozan looks good so far this year, but there was really no reason to not let him hit restricted free agency next year. Give him this year to try to earn a contract like that and if he does match at the end of the year. Because he hasn't done anything so far in his career that warrants a 10 million dollar a year contract.

Hockey? You clearly don't read the hockey thread, I might make one or two comments every once in a while but generally stay away outside of generic discussion because I don't know enough. Same with College football and College basketball. I also don't ever force my football opinion on anyone else at all. Good try though Mexican, whatever helps you deal with how Cousins takes 25 shots a game to get 23 points.

Knight still sucks. Speaking of things I was wrong on, there's another one right there.

I totally told you that Knight sucked.
Then again I also said Jimmer would be better than him.

Wow Brody, you are becoming a living, breathing caricature. You are now right in between Scotty on Rutgers and BBD on the NBA, and that's not a good thing.

What if he continues to play how he has been, and someone throws even more money at him? 10m isn't bad when you consider the MLE is in the 6-7 million dollar range and that gets thrown around like peanuts in free agency.

Beasley got 3/18 and that was too much and he is just as young and inefficient as DeRozan
