He goes from below average to about average, whoop. No idea why he continues making All Defensive teams really, he hasn't been that good in like 10 years.

No to Pringles. This is not a fast-break team. Nash doesn't need to run, he just needed more freedom than the Princeton allowed. And D'Antoni lacks the skills to make adjustments in the half-court set.
I'm on the fence about Phil. The triangle is direct descendant of the Princeton and although it allows for more freedom, it still takes the ball out of Nash's hands way too much and turns him into primarily a spot-up shooter.
Best case scenario: Sloan
Plan B : Nate McMillian
Phil as a last option.
Don't like the timing of the firing though. You had a 6 game homestead comng up, I'd of at least given him two more games, fire him on one of teams day off. But it not like he didn't deserve to be fired? This guy had Darius ******* Morris as he first PG off the bench, playing Jamison at the 3, Ebanks at the 2...his rotations were just putrid and lacked any sense or rationale. Glad to see him gone but I just think the timing should have been handled better. Just looks like some spur of the moment ****.

6 game home stand might be the best time to fire someone, hopefully you get your new coach a winning record in those 6

Yea but u don't fire the coach the day of the game, 5 games in. Why didn't they just fire him after the the Utah game then? Could have spent the off day answer questions, preparing the team for life after Brown. The timing is just some ********, point blank.

I dunno about Sloan, he had problems managing Deron. Dwight and Kobe might just be too much.

Deron wanted more freedom to ISO and things like that. Sloan wanted him to run the offense. Sloan would know how use Kobe, Dwight and Nash effectively. Plus those 3 guys respect the hell out of Sloan. I don't think it would even be a issue. Sloan would let Nash have free reign. Stockton had free reign. Plus his offense fits Nash like a glove, half-court wise.

They just made the decision to make a change and they needed to do it ASAP because they didn't want this to go till December before they finally make a change. This way they can get goin on a new system right away.

Thats because Deron is an immature little twunt and Utah's front office are morons in how they handled it. Sloan would be fine with Kobe and Dwight.

Gerald Wallace and MarShon are both out, so we're reaching deep into the bench for a swing man. I'm as shocked as you. When we signed him I was just like "player coach who'll never dress". And here he is with 11 points against Orlando

Decent half from Houston. Sloppy at times, but they have the lead. Harden cold from the floor, but getting to the line (8-8). Asik also 6 Pts and 8 boards with good defense. Also, thank god that McHale isnt playing Toney Douglas tonight, **** he's been terrible this year.

Shumpert looks so awesome on the Knicks bench right now. Can't wait to see that high top fade on the court.

You are not a human being.
To the people who say he is a ring chaser....last time he came back, the Lakers had Kobe and nothing. They were starting Luke Walton. They had just missed the playoffs for the first time in like 30 years.
TBH, when he retires it's usually because management more or less forces him out. Between Reinsdorf in Buffalo and Jerry West and Jim Buss in LA, Phil never has a cozy relationship with management. The Buss family just keeps coming back asking for him to bail them out.

JR Smith just stopped himself from taking a wide open 3. It was surprising.
