That offensive supporting cast might as well be the Bobcats. Varejao is a good finisher if he gets spoonfed buckets or offensive rebounds but he's not a post threat, and Waiters is their second best perimeter scorer and he looks clueless out there so far. That guy doesn't have a clue what a good shot looks like. I don't know why you're defending the Cavs, they're awful. Samardo Samuels, Donald Sloan...etc. These guys aren't just end of the bench guys for them, they get minutes.
Waiters has been a perfectly solid scorer this season outside of tonight, so that's not true. Gee's a competent role player when they don't let him shoot too much, and Varejao's solid enough. Kyrie's not exactly making guys look better around him, which is pretty much a point guard's job. He's a very good player, but the Cavs time will come with him. They aren't a bad team, and LeBron saw worse.
Clueless was the wrong word to use with Waiters, but he has taken some seriously awful shots. He's had a couple games where those went down which inflates his FG% a little, but he hasn't shown any basketball IQ at all.
I like Waiters, I defended that pick when it happened, but he's not nearly there yet.
