The problem is that none of these guys play well with each other. Even if we got Shabazz, he'd get thrown into a team full of chuckers and without offensive cohesiveness. We need to get rid of Thornton, Brooks, Salmons, Hayes (love the guy but he really does nothing for us at this point), all who get a ton of playing time.

Linsanity is back, bitches!!!(well...kinda anyway)
Finally has his shot back and he's looking comfortable, confident attacking the rim during the past few games.

I think it just took a while for the team to gel. There was no ball movement the first 5-10 games of the season. It's looking MUCH better now.

I still don't get that trade. Trade a solid complementary player in Beno, take on a worse player on a worse contract, trade back AND draft Jimmer Fredette.
Drafting any of 30+ players available at 7 would have been better than trading back. And of course keeping Beno over freaking Salmons would have been inordinately better for the Kings.
I'm pretty sure Geoff Petrie has been leading the team drunk for the past decade.

This is why basketball is a team game. Having great individual players doesn't guarantee success.

Count me as one of the few who still see the Lakers turning it around. If this was last year I would say no chance, but over a full season I think they work out the kinks, especially when Nash comes back. I see them being around .500 at halfway through the season, and finishing up as like a 6th seed, that no one really wants to play.

The Lakers are going to be just fine. I realize that our players are nowhere near the level that Lebron and Wade were at when they assembled the big 3, but they showed right there that they needed to time to gel. Starting 9-8 and everyone acted like the sky was falling. Same situation here, are they are playing like **** though right now.
Doing this with Dwight probably at 80-85% max (he still doesnt look to be fully there). Without our 2 best point guards, Pau is being softer than he usually is...and throw on the tendonitis (which I think is just an excuse for his bloody vagina). I think the only way to go is up....(or so I hope.)

I actually do still have the Lakers beating the Heat in the Finals. If Howard can fix the free throw thing. But yeah, as SickWitIt said, the Heat stunk too at the beginning of the Big 3.

Yoda mentioned the free throw thing....holy ****, its horrible. Like I may do the hack-a-dwight if I were the opposing coach but that thing is just so chicken **** it isnt even funny. It was with Shaq and it is now....I guess if it works, keep doin it but god damn it pisses me off.

It's not that easy. Dwight always practices his FTs. It's a mental issue. It takes more than one season for it to be part of your muscle memory.

Yeah, and they say he hits over 80% in practice, but thats also while shooting in mass amounts. 100-500 at a time, its pretty easy to get in a rythem shooting that many.

Dwight's FTs are pretty remarkable in that, for how inconsistent he is on a night to night basis (some nights 12-15, some 4-15), outside of this year and last he has been just about 59% every single year. He's consistently inconsistent?

The Magic should have waited to hire Jacque Vaughn and sucked for a bit first. He's going to coach them right out of a high draft pick.
