Personally I find it very difficult to hate the player, his flopping is basically the only thing about his game that I don't love.

As a person/personality the list is a fair bit longer, I actually like him more now that he has embraced being a heel and run with it because to me he has always been a "douche" (for lack of a better term), his efforts to be the nice guy always seemed insincere to me, whether that is fair or not. I've never met him or anyone that has so it's purely on how I perceive him through media interaction.

The decision was pretty low, I have no problem with him going for a ring, hell I respect it and I wish more players would put the ring before money but the way he did it was spiteful and unnecessary towards a city that did nothing but support and admire him. There was no need to crush that city and be a genuine **** towards them.

The media obsession with him can also get nauseating at times, not his fault but still a part of "liking/hating" him.

I have to add, I don't hate LeBron but those elements all make me not like him as much as I could and probably should.

On top that he frustrates me a bit, most of the players that I "dislike" all have the "not as good as they should be" vibe. Probably harsh on Bron given how good he is but I dislike his refusal to add a genuine post game to his repertoire. Just like I always hated that Nash refused to just try on defense, he could have won a ring if he'd been willing to do that and I genuinely disliked that he wouldn't. Same for Dwight, before he went ***** mode and made me legitimately hate him I always disliked that he also refused to add any genuine post moves, that one hurt even more as a Magic fan though.

That said, I've liked LeBron more since he has sort of become more human and embraced that he often needs to be the bad guy.
Only part of this I really disagree with is I hate Cleveland more than I hate anything Basketball related, even the god damn heat, celtics and pacers, so him breaking Cleveland's hearts I actually like, the decision still annoys me on the whole, and I still hate that he picked Miami, but crushing Cleveland is always good in my book.

So why does it bother people so much to enjoy watching history? I guess this is something I'll never understand.
This is a really good point and I suffer from it too. I remember watching the Bulls for MJ and realizing he was a really good player, but never realizing that I might never see something like that again.

With Bulls glasses on, every game felt like watching the greatest player ever. I remember recreating some game winning shot he had against the Hawks in Mid-January for about 3 months. I am too biased on the Jordan love.

I am the exact same way. But I'm now starting to watch LeBron with that sense that he's one of the all time greats so my disdain for him isn't going to change anything.

Can anyone picture Lebron competing against Rodman?

I don't get why everybody assumed Rodman's quote was an insult against LeBron. Being an average NBA player in the 90's would have been a huge accomplishment for an early teenager.

I never got the argument about certain players playing in certain eras. Great players adapt. They are the product of their environment. You are a fool to believe if Lebron wouldn't be able to compete in the Jordan, Rodman and Barkley "physical" era or even the Bird and Magic "Pure" basketball era.

Just gonna add my two cents.

I love Lebron the player. I give him so much respect for what he has done and how he has developed since he was drafted. He is far and away the best player in the NBA right now.

However...

This thread is making me laugh... "humble," "professional," I don't know if one or multiple used this to describes Bron's personality. But the reason I am loathe Lebron the person is because he is extraordinarily pampered and immature. You can say that about most athletes but the media exposure Lebron gets certainly does him zero justice. Lebron needs a brand new PR team that's for sure.

I disagree. Compare him to MJ, who was the biggest prick, poor sportsman, general douche bag, etc. I like LeBron. He's never come across as being a bad guy or really full of himself to me.

The Oklahoma State Suns

Quote:
I’ve long contended that the current Suns uniforms are amongst the worst in the NBA. They’ve been wearing them since the 2000-01 season and they look exactly like something from the 2000-01 season. The orange PHX alternates are even worse, and this is coming from a fellow who claims orange as his favorite color. To put it simply, the Suns’ jerseys are boring and outdated, which is why those new-ish logos you see up there look like they might finally be a step in a new-ish direction.

The logos were leaked by an Arizona NBC affiliate, but considering you can buy t-shirts at the NBA store with the new logos on them, I’d say it’s pretty legit. And I’d also say that these new logos are fine.

I hate comparing Lebron and MJ because it will never be a good argument, but how was Jordan a poor sportsman? A gigantic asshole, absolutely, but poor sportsman? I think you just want to add on because you hate Jordan and the Bulls from the 90s.

I know right? If anyone was serious they would bring up that Jordan only scored less than 20 in a finals game once out of 35. Or the fact that he averaged under 30 ppg in the playoffs once out of 13 seasons and in 10 seasons Lebron has averaged 30 ppg in 10 playoffs seasons once.

People just don't even try to troll anymore...
