I meant beating Detroit would wake some people up... guess you didn't realize you play them 2nd round most likely.

Random things that should happen and then predictions
MVP: Chris Paul
DPOY: Kevin Garnett
Coach: Byron Scott
ROY: Al Horford
6th Man: Manu Ginobli
Most Improved: Hedo Turkoglu
Quarterfinals:
West:
Lakers over Nuggets in 6
Mavericks over Hornets in 7
Spurs over Suns in 7
Jazz over Rockets in 7
East:
Celtics over Hawks in 4
Pistons over 76ers in 4
Magic over Raptors in 5

The NBA gets what it wants in the finals and I know the refs will make every questionable call go the Lakers and Celtics way to ensure it.

I'm sort of hoping it's either the Suns or Lakers out West and the Celtics or Pistons in the East. I feel as though those are the only four that could make for a good Finals, but that's just me.

I really wish people who write about sports were held accountable for what they say about sports. Jay Mariotti just claimed that Boston would be hurt by two rookies: Big Baby Davis and Leon Powe. What he fails to realize is that Big Baby is not currently a part of our rotation in important games, and Powe isn't a rookie.

Jay Mariotti is a massive tool who doesn't deserve his own sports column in a small town where the only sport is square dancing.

Everyone especially the media seems to be picking Dallas over New Orleans, but I'm going Hornets there. Paul is superior to Kidd and David West and Tyson are perfect complements to each other.

So the Sonics' conference just happened. What did people think? I find it funny that Mark Cuban and Paul Allen, arguably the two best owners in the NBA, were the only two to reject the proposal. Kind of makes you wonder.

MUCH different situation, since GS owned Dallas in the regular season and NO didn't exactly own Dallas this season. And there is NO CHANCE IN HELL Orlando beats Detroit.
