And we also imploded in the Finals a couple years ago, booted by the 8th seed in the 1st round last year, and on the verge on getting eliminated in the 1st round again, which aside from game 3, hasn't exactly been all that competitive. Any team with the talent level we have should easily make the Playoffs every year, but it's in post season where good coaching takes the forefront. Not making the Avery the scapegoat, the blame should obviously fall on the guys who are on the court as well, but Avery is definitely on the hot seat.

Good job Lakers. While I believe we completely melted down in the series, it's clear your guys' defense was a large factor in frustrating our offense. I didn't expect us to play defense, but I thought we could score much more efficiently than we did.

I'm really upset though. It's a disappointing end to our season. We didn't show any resiliency and we missed too many easy shots. Some changes I would like to see:

I'll talk more about changes I'd like to see for next year... but I'm just going to address the coaching topic for now....

We need to get rid of George Karl. As much fault as it may be Melo's that we haven't gone out of the first round, there is equal blame (if not more imo) on Karl for not getting past the opening round for 4 consecutive years. I would LOVE to see Rick Carlisle as Nuggets HC next season... I think that could be a very good fit.

There's strong rumors that Avery and Marc Iavaroni will be the next coaches to go, with the second most likely hinging on either the first happening or some big-name coach being fired (Besides D'Antoni). I could very easily see D'Antoni out, but just the same, I can see them sticking it out one more year with him, since that's most likely how long they have as a contender anyway.

If the Hawks resign Josh Smith they are scary good. Not just saying that because they are my team but the talent on this team is scary. Josh Childress probably won't be resigned but all they need is some veteran depth. Joe Johnson is one of the league's most underrated/unknown stars while Smith and Horford are stars about to bloom.

Everyone here already knows this, but over the course of this season Dwight has gone from a man-child to a man-beast to, during these playoffs, a beastly demi-god.

His worst game during the Raptors series was when he went off for 19 and 12.

Yes, but he still plays no defense, doesn't control the flow of the game, he passes, but he doesn't know how to set up his teammates. Basically he's a spark plug player. He's good at being a spark plug off the bench for added offense, but you'd be fooling yourself if you believe he's a true PG ala Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Chauncey Billups, TJ Ford, Andre Miller, Derek Fisher, Tony Parker, Baron Davis... and on and on.

The Magic also need another complimentary post player at PF that give a different dimension than the scorer that Lewis is. A clean up player-like.

I def. wouldnt call him a true PG...and he's not on par w/ some of those mentioned but, he's still a fine player, who is winning a lot of people over w/ his play in the post season thus far. Shades of his St. Joes tourny days...he's been fun to watch, hopefully he can keep it up.

I agree w/ a PF addition and I'm not talking Battie here. Could do wonders for the team.

They have a very good starting five that will only get better.

JJ is so beastly, I'm glad he is finally getting some recognition, I have no clue why he isn't in those playoff commercials, he will probably be the best SG over the next 6-7 years

BTW Happy 26th B-Day JJ

Well Marv is nothing special, solid regular season, terrible playoffs. Has his mid range jumper but that's it, if it's not falling it's over. No range on his shot. Doesn't finish well inside, mediocre defender and rebounder. Not a bad player but will have a solid career. I actually think he is better fit as a 6th man, he'd be a top tier 6th man.

Hmm. I've always liked Williams as a player.

Marvin just needs to be on a different team. That team's make-up is horrible for a player of his skill set (and maybe even personality). He should go to a team like... the Warriors.

Not sure I understand Warriors and Hawks are built similarly. Marvin just doesn't really get how to play the game. He would probably even be better suited on a halfcourt team rolling off screens in a Rip Hamilton type role. Regardless it is clear this team has two dominant players, being JJ and Josh Smith had the final 34 points of the game for the Hawks.

Go Hawks! I'd much rather face them than the Celtics next round.

BTW, can the Wizards please shut up? Brendan Haywood called LeBron a baby for pointing out what everyone else noticed, they were just fouling LeBron and weren't snippy about how they did it. How about instead of smacking him in the back of the head or pushing him out of bounds, they try to play good defense? I respect the team, they're a good team and I'm surprised they're playing so poorly, but until they start winning they should really shut up. Every time they mess with LeBron, it seems like he makes them eat their words.

Remember the Warriors Hawks game? That was sick. lawl @ the Hawks for thinking they could run with the Warriors.
