with Bryant Johnson basically gone already i expect that Steve Breaston will have a good year receiving and he will continue to be one of the best return men in the league

I am not going to say a player on this one. I am going to say a team. I believe that the Houston Texans are going to battle for a playoff spot next year. All they have to do is get that premeir offensive lineman, or a stable one that is, and get another playmaker in the secondary and they will be legit next year.

Is that possible with Fred Taylor still there? He signed a 3-year extension not too long ago, I recall.

Ugh, please don't remind me that the Colts have to get through the AFC South for another year to get back to the playoffs. Gah.

True. But apparently he was wiping away tears on the sidelines Saturday, so it makes you wonder...

I would've put Peyton Manning, but he broke out 8 years ago.

For the Bears I think that either Jamar Williams or Michael Okwo will have a breakout season. One of them will be replacing Lance Briggs and should benefit from playing with Urlacher and Hillenmeyer in the linebacking corps.

How's he going to do that if he is on the bench?

I just think he was being emotional...I think he's got a bunch more left in the tank...and I do think Mojo will have a big year next season...he had an off season receiving the ball and once again almost had a 1000 yards on the ground...if we really wanted him to I think he could go 1000 and 1000 both on the ground and through the air...

Maurice reminds me so much of Brian Westbrook.

I think it's safe to say that once MJD becomes the featured back, we see Westbrook production out of him...

I have a feeling that Greg Jones is going to get a lot more touches out of the backfield in the next few years as well.

Mehhhhhhhhhhhh...more compact than Westbrook, but he can't touch Westbrook's speed, agility, quickness, and overall amazingness.

Westbrook on the injury report is just a ploy anyways :) He never practices but kills it in games.. Plus, in Philly, practice is optional. http://youtube.com/watch?v=eGDBR2L5kzI

i am gonna try and name some people that others haven't mentioned so far
Atari Bigby S Packers
-has looked really good in there making plays when he has gotten to play this season
Maurice Morris RB Seahawks
-this year shaun alexander has basically sucked it up so i think morris gets more playing time next year and should do well behind an above average seattle OL
Antwan Barnes LB Ravens
-has shown great ability in limited playing time and with Suggs supposedly wanting to go to Arizona, he should get his chance to show it off next year
Ahmad Brooks LB Bengals
-if he stays healthy, he will get the start and be the main LB for this team and he should rack up a bunch of tackles, many because no one else really can
Jason Campbell QB Redskins
-i think that if santana moss can return to his form and with cooley and a good running game returning, all the pieces are in place for him to excel. he showed flashes this year, but he will have a 'breakout' season if he can piece it all together
now time for the niners
Vernon Davis TE
-should be used much more in the passing game with the arrival of Martz as the OC, could be utilized as a slot receiver as well
Manny Lawson OLB
-looked really good prior to season ending injury and it looks like the injury just moved his breakout year back a season
Alex Smith QB
-in his make or break year for the niners, i think that he will immerse himself in Martz offense and show that he can be a starter in this league
