The guy is a proven Offensive Coordinator, I think its a good hireto get away from the boring play to not lose the game but lose the game philososphy Herm lives by

I didn't see a problem posting this here since all coaching hires get posted on this board.

I remember a thread when Mike martz got hired by the 49ers, and one about Norm Chow being fired.

Exactly the purpose of me posting this. I just want to hear what NFL fans have to say, not just Chiefs fans.

Sometimes you win some lose some. Maybe here what other's have to say. hopefully you dont get some d-bag making stupid responses. its good to hear from someone who may know more than you about someone. i care about the DC, I'll have to go to the bengals team forum and look it up and if i know anything ill type a cute summary.
if martz gets his own thread any other OC/DC coach has the right to get thiers.

I noticedstats of Chan lead offenses that alot of running backs and tight ends receiving the ball and one primary receiver. Those three had about 50 receptions each with the WR in the 60-75 range. I think Gonzo, LJ, Kolby, and Bowe will be seing the ball alot in the passing game. Solid Qb play under chan nothing great, solid running. Seems like very efficient offenses he ran. Larry average 4-5 receptions a game before his injury. He has improved greatly in the receiving ou of the back field. If KC gets a line in the next year or two I think Kolby and Larry will be one of the top duos in the game.
Id like to see Tony and Dwayne 70 plus and running backs 30 plus each and then another receiver around 40 and some others. but that is optomistic with no line!

This seems like a good hiring. I wanted to take a chance with Gailey instead of hiring Mike Martz personally.

It wouldn't matter who they have at OC, or QB, RB, WR, etc., unless they fix their atrocious O-Line.

I was referring to someone taking mod powers out of hand and closing this because the Chiefs suck while other threads are made that I don't complain about. Speculativecoachingthreads, top 10 list why harry potter is the best book ever etc. i wasnt reffering to a mod or anything. i may have crossed the line saying d-bag, but the was for an action that wasnt made. fact its open and im happy and id like to keep it civilized.

Our GM has came out and said he made a mistake he tried to get one more year out of our line and as we all know it didn't work I'm not saying they will fix the line but they are going to try.

With over $20 million in cap room and with a top 5 pick in every round I think we are in a good position to do so. Also, I think we have a couple of pieces still in place. Brian Waters is still a very good guard and Damion McIntosh was serviceable at left tackle. Draft Jake Long and move McIntosh to right tackle and I think the Chiefs will be fine at tackle. The only two remaining question marks will be at center and right guard. I am in favor of picking up Ryan Lilja in free agency if he is available (or any other guard for that matter). That leaves center as the biggest question mark.
