It's still better than baseball and basketball.

Oh this one takes the cake:

New York dressed to bury Pats
By John Tomase
Wednesday, January 30, 2008 - Updated 5h ago
PHOENIX - There’s a reason each member of the Giants arrived in Phoenix on Monday wearing a black suit. They were dressed for a funeral.
The deceased? The Patriots dynasty.
Word out of New York last night was that the players, in what was supposed to remain a private show of self-confidence, donned their funeral garb to signify the belief that the Patriots’ perfect season will conclude with a most imperfect finish.
The idea for the suits belonged to linebacker Antonio Pierce, who told the media it just represented the fact that the Giants were on a business trip.
“It’s just a team unity thing,” wide receiver Amani Toomer said. “That’s how this team is. We follow along.”
However, word trickled during Media Day yesterday that the Giants had other intentions. When wide receiver Plaxico Burress was asked if the suits were meant for business or a funeral, he just smiled.
“It’s a business trip,” he said. “It could be both.”

I dunno if I believe that. It apparently was a last minute thing they planned for team unity. And not everyone got the message in time, because a good 25-33% of the team did not take part.

College teams wear the same color suits on road trips all the time, and no one says peep. I didn't hear anyone overtly say the black suits were symbolic of funeral attire.

That's what they are saying now. All this symbolism and semantics is for nothing. The team that plays the best is going to win and nothing else that happens this week will change that.

All of the talk and "bulletin board" BS means pretty much nothing. It is all about execution.

Just imagine how much extra drama there would have been if it were GB in the Super Bowl. Favre, Favre, Favre, Favre, Favre...

But deep down, I think people enjoy the drama. Look how mad people here seemed to get when the Giants beat the Packers and denied them their Brady vs. Favre superbowl? They just haven't had it with this game and as a result, look how hard the media has had to reach to find something worth writing about. Because obviously the matchup itself isn't, so the Giants choice of atire must be. Or some loon reporter who wanted Patriots players to marry her. I swear I'm going to hear someone claim that Eli and Brady are just as good as each other because they wear the same ****in number. And they don't by the way.

I feel sorry for those kids having to wear a patriots shirt.
On a serious note though those people really are that poor.It really isnt that funny.
