Troupe
Hi,
I'm a Packer fan and am looking for information on him. The Packers will be looking for a couple of tight ends this off season and I know he is free agent. I know he has good size and athletic ability - don't know about his blocking Why has he done so little? Would a change of scenery help?
Any info you can provide is appreciated?

He has the physical part of the game down at least athletically, but he just couldnt seem to handle the mental part of the game very well. He is not a good blocker and drops easy passes sometimes. At this point he's nothing but a marginal #2 TE.

Troupe was my favorite draft pick the year we got him. I was in love with his potential. But he's just not intelligent at all. He doesn't get the game and still runs the wrong routes after being in the system for years.
He cannot block at all. He completely blew at least two key blocks in our game against the Chargers. It killed us. He's also had some injury issues. I think if the contract is cheap, he'd be worth picking up for his potential, but if the Packers overpay for him, you could be in for some real disappointment.

Troupe is a hell of a athlete, but his hands are not good, he will drop some of the easy passes ever, and it has been a problem since he was drafted. IMO i see no point in the titans signing him back and no point in anyone giving him a big contract, he is at best a #2 TE in the NFL.

I always keep Troupe. He's a great receiving TE in the game, and I pass to the TE more than the WR. He just has average ratings due to things like Awareness or Blocking. Speed, Jump, Acceleration, Catching, etc. are usually good. Besides, the OL usually dominates the CPU's DLine, so it's not like he needs to be a good blocker.
But yeah, the digital Troupe far surpasses his real life counterpart.
