I totally agree, but I just don't see him as a #1 in the NFL. Alot like Lee Evans, actually.

To be honest I'm kind of glad the Niners signed Justin Smith so now we don't give a third big contract. Berrian is a good signing like Solomon Wilcots said on NFL Network Sidney Rice and Bernard Berrian makes for a pretty good young WR corp.

But do they have a QB to get them the ball?

Great signing. I'm sure the FO gave him an incentive heavy contract. Rice/Berrian/Wade is decent.

I was hoping the Saints would try to sign him and pair him with Colston.

Tarvaris Jackson has no excuses now. Bernard Berrian and Sidney Rice make up a pretty formidable 1-2 punch.

Now to fix the shoddy o-line. Mckinnie off beating people up in nightclubs, and I can't even name the starters on the left side. Hicks and Marcus Johnson I think? Cook sometimes?

Don't forget probably the best left side of on O-Line in the NFL as well as a top 5, maybe even top 2 RB.

berrian is NOT a #1 WR....i dont really like this signing for minnesota, i would rather have javon walker than berrian. berrian drops a ton of balls and is in no way a dominant #1 WR

Haha...you Bears fans need to grow up. I'm sure he's getting twice what the Bears offered him. Jerry didn't think he was worth franchising. I sure hope he's right.

I think he just means he doesn't know who will start at LT if McKennie is suspended or does jail time. And BTW litlharsh Artis Hicks would be the one to take over at LT unfortunatly.

If Jerry Porter can get 10 mil guaranteed there's no reason why Berrian can't get 16.
Hopefully we can get Bryant Johnson or D.J Hackett for 8.

Wow. 42 Mil? How much did Da Bears offer him again? I really think the Vikings spent a great deal of money on a couple Free agents who weren't necessarily worth how much they got paid. They better hope they work out well.

The Bears initial offer was 5 years 25 million with 8 million guaranteed. No word if they ever improved on that, but that's essentially a big middle finger to Bernard.

I'd say more like a fist in the ass than a middle finger.

That is a kinda deal he should have got but his agent knew some team would over pay in FA and some team did a B player getting A money.

I know Jerry "I have never had a 1000 yards in season" Porter getting 30 million what a joke.
