When you can get stadiums full of 60,000+ people that each paid at least $50, not to mention TV contracts with major networks that are in the billions of dollars, to watch you do your job, then you too can get paid that much money to do your job.

David Garrard actually won the award for being a great bargain.
'Course, that won't last much longer then a couple weeks from now.

Brandon Jacobs/Ahmad Bradshaw- both are incredibly cheap, but a very good HB combo

Colston shouldn't be a "bargain" for much longer.

Not for long, Jacobs is a free agent after 08. Plus he hit incentives to make his 08 salary $927K.

I forgot to mention Jahri Evans. One of the best young guards in the league.

Justin Tuck
Randy Moss
Lance Briggs
Tony Romo
Shaun O'Hara
im not going to include people playing on their rookie contracts, because that would make the list way too long. all these guys got extended, and extended for a lot less than the current market would indicate they should make.

Darnell Dockett in the 3rd year of a 5 year 22 million dollar contract, not his rookie one
4.4 Mil for a a top 5 DT is a huge steal

We are working on a contract, I've heard. I'm pretty sure we slapped a first round tender on him. You are right though. He is incredible, and underrated. He's starting to get his due now though, and I'm happy about that.

I think its Marques Colston by far, just for a comparison:
Larry Fitzgerald is scheduled to make 16 million in 2008. Marques Colston is scheduled to make 445,000 in 2008. Thats what you call a bargain.

Aaron Kampman resigned a deal in 2005 he hadnt broken out by then so he came really cheap dont remember the exact figures. The sad part is currently KGB is our highest paid player since Favre retired making $6,150,000 in Base salary this year, Kampman is making less then half that at $2,900,000.
If you care to see how the Packers salary cap is shaped up and who is making what click here
http://cappage.timesfour.com/
Currently we are $35,138,226 under

Greg Jennings is making the same as Marques Colston as well you know there both in for a big pay day. Theres also a couple other of the Packers starters making that or a little more.

The Titans keystone, bookend Tackles were paid a combined $1,456,333 million dollars last year, with LT Michael Roos making $918,333 and RT David Stewart making $538,000 million. This season, Roos, a 2nd RD pick in '06, is going into another year of his rookie contract. Stewart is a RFA who was recently tendered at a 1st RD pick compensation. They're steals now, but they'll be paid big soon.

lol thats funny, Colston has probably reached all the incentives in his contract and only makes a half mil because he is a 7th rounder while Fitz was going to make 14 mil this year and 18 the next because of reaching his incentives
Colston is a FA next year though so he will get a huge pay raise

Demarcus Ware is still on his Rookie contract, so is Terrence Newman.
Newman is somewhere in the top 10 and even in the top 5 depending on who you talk to and D-ware is the best 3-4 OLB in the NFL. They are both going to get major deals soon.

Didn't he get 6 years, $60 million-ish with about $30 million guaranteed? That's not exactly a bargain.

Agree. He's living up to the contract if anything, not so much a "bargain"

The stands have been filling up since the football players made like $45 a game. Granted I realize that an increase is necessary just because cost of living has gone up. But 90% of the world doesn't have the athleticism that these guys have so they are blessed beyond belief and then they go holding out when they make 5 million a year instead of 7 million. Its dumb.
