10 mil a year, thats pricey, even for a young, elite WR like Fitzgerald

It beats 17 mil a year, they saved alot of money and still made sure they can keep him.

Agree, Fitz is a well worth of that money, though this deal makes me uncertain about our chances to keep Dansby, Wilson and Boldin in Cardinal red.

I'm still so pissed. Have fun getting 100 catches a year for a whopping 5-7 wins for the duration of that contract Larry.

The Cardinals have a brighter future than the Eagles.

Well now, you don't seem very bitter about the whole situation! Hah!
I'm just kidding of course.
However, you already have Asante Samuels, isn't that enough for one off-season? I can only have so many nightmares before facing the Eagles you know..

Considering that he caught 100 balls and the Cardinals won 8 games this year I'm sure he is happy as Larry right now.

He has to be among the league's highest paid WRs now.

While this means the Cards have Fitzgerald locked up for four more years plus have more cap space now to sign guys, another after-effect is what does this do for Anquan Boldin. I love Boldin, I think he's one of the best receivers in the league, but how is it going to stand that Fitzgerald is being paid two to three times as much as he is?
Will the Cards be willing to trade him? If I was the Eagles, I'd pull out all the stops to get him.

If Fitz is getting that much, why shouldn't Q?
Boldin has the most catches through the first # of years in his career than anyone else in NFL history, I believe. He's great, I like him more than Fitzgerald myself.

Talent wise I would say that Fitz is better, but as far as an overall player Boldin does all the little things, he is probably the best blocking & YAC WR in the NFL & is the heart and soul of the Cardinals, lucky for us the cap shoots up 10+ mil next year and Boldin love it here so i don't see any kind of hold out or anything
And as far as Boldin being paid in comparison to Fitz, that's not how things work, you compare yourself to the current market, Moss & Walker signed a 9+ mil deals, so Fitz being younger and generally we can assume he will be more productive over these years gets a 10 mil a year deal

Notice that the 'boldin wants a new deal' noise isn't actually coming from Anquan. I haven't seen one quote from Anquan about Larry's deal or his own contract situation.
I have no doubt that Anquan will want a new contract. But Anquan is the type of guy to let the right people know and not cause a huge stink. All this stuff coming out about how the Cardinals are DOOOOOOMED is a little silly.

Don't wanna sound like homer, but i have to agree with my Cardinal friend. Boldin is maybe the best example of team first attitude in the whole NFL.
