O-Line Situation

It looks like we won't be adding any Free Agents to the line, and instead it will be a case of letting the guys we have battle it out for the roster spots.
Who do you think will make the cut and how many lineman will we take? Last year Childress stated after taking 10 defensive lineman into the season that he would take 10 offensive lineman if it was warrented.

Here are the names we currently have locked up as starters....

McKinnie, Bryant T 6'8" 335
Hutchinson, Steve G 6'5" 313

Although they are not big name guys I am coming around to the idea of some of these guys.

Shane Olivea (Like him a lot, but we already have a similar guy in Radovich who is a RG/RT tweener, who has not suffered a serious back injury)

This is the line up i would go with.

LT McKinnie LG Hutchinson C Birk RG Herrera RT Cook
LT C. Johnson LG Mozes C Sullivan RG Hicks RT Radovich

There is a lot of versitility here as Hicks can swing to LT, Radovich can move to RG, and Sulivan and Mozes can cover the interior.

I know 10 is a lot to have locked up on the O Line, but with the uncertainty of McKinnie and Birk's future being issues you want to keep your options open. This would develop good competition and raise the play of each other, and offer versitility in case of injury or suspension. If we could sneak Mozes through to the practice squad it would be ideal.

I don't see us taking 10 guys especially with hicks versatillity he will end up being the main backup for LT, LG, and RG.

i think we may end up taking johnson too
it's possible he could end up on the practice squad tho, but i could definitely see us taking 9 guys
