Bad off field issues, not a player for the Falcons.

Surely there is a 6"7 255 lb TE with baseball mit hands that catches everything somewhere in college FB. He can even run a 4.8 40 and not know how to block...i just think that is a dimension of player we dont have right now and would be good to add

If we're picking up a small corner, I want Smith from Wake Forest. I mentioned him earlier, but the kid is a flat out stud. He's physically dominant, and quick, he'd be our KR/PR specialist as well, but the kid is a ballhawk.

What ever we get, bottom line is we need to get better defensevly, especially against the pass.

Chase Coffman 6'6 250 ...Not to mention good genes. His dad was an NFL TE for years.

I would love to get Chase Coffman, his athletic ability blows me off for his size. He looks slow though, but his hands are great.

Ya but Bos have you seen him play. Hes not blazing but its not like were gonna have another Vernon Davis.

He has a huge frame and catches everything. His athleticism is nuts, he hurdles everything and his body control is great. By far my favorite TE prospect in a long time, Im calling it, he will have a Shockey rookie season.

I was looking at Jason Witten's numbers when he cam out...6'6 264 and was said to run a 4.67. Yes he is a little bigger than Coffman but his major weakness going into the NFL was blocking so Im sure Chase could put on 10 lbs and become a much better blocker.

Dude that's fast for a TE. I doubt he gets in 4.7 range.

Here are the UFA TE for 2009:

Desmond Clark, UFA, Chicago Bears
Will Heller, UFA, Seattle Seahawks
Eric Johnson, UFA, New Orleans Saints
Jeff King, RFA, Carolina Panthers
Jim Kleinsasser, UFA, Minnesota Vikings
Leonard Pope, UFA, Arizona Cardinals
Daniel Wilcox, UFA, Baltimore Ravens

Not much to see.

Keep an eye out for Brian Mandeville of Northeastern. He's a small school guy but he's huge and really talented. He'd be an excellent 3rd/4th rounder

Ya thats ugly. I wouldnt be surprised at all if the Falcons added a big name FA. Especially after how Turner has played out.

I just found out that Chase Coffman's avg. forty going into his senior yr was a 4.8 w/ a low 40 of a 4.76. So your right Bos, he wont have great timed speed, but he will train for that in the combine. We might need him to run slightly slower if we are targeting him.

Quite Frankly I dont really care much about his speed, just that he can catch and get open. TEs arent burners, or deep threats. They are good in the Red Zone and on 3rd downs, thats all we'll need from him.

Yes, for sure. They are starting to get banged up, so this will be a good time for them to heal and take a little break. Hopefully our focus will still be there come week 8. I believe Matt Ryan will keep tearing it up from now on, and theres no looking back. Speaking of resting, i should go sleep man i got school tommorrow. Later.

Awesome. Cheers guys, a couple of those TE's sound great. Thats the one area i fall down at, I dont get to see film of college players untill the end of the college FB season here. Ill definatly be using this page for TE for any mock drafts i make

But yeh we deffinatly want hands over speed. Heck he can run a 4.9, i dont care. Just make him 6"5+ and run to 5-10 yard crossing routes and be extremly physical in going for the ball and catch EVERYTHING.

Chase Coffman rd 1-2-3
Brian Mandeville rd 4-5

Im happy with Heartstock atm but these guys would add a different skill set and would be in different packages. Spliting a 6"6 250+ TE to the slot causes issues (even if he runs a 4.8) , just like 5"9 180lb lightning quick Harry Douglas causes problems. We need to add as many different types of weapons for Mularkey and Ryan to confuse people with as possible

haha one step ahead of you.."TACKLE" has this whole youtube library thing going on. Im watchin em now. Coffman looks good, a little too good for where i want a tight end. Dude looks more rd 1-2 than rd 2-3-4. Thats exactly the type of player though. Imagine going from HD in the slot one play to a 6"6 monster who can catch at full stretch like that guy. Hopefully Zach Miller is his 40 yard sprints coach!

Okay so we know we need a TE, but we're not going to get one early, doesn't make sense for this offense, esp not after how much we're paying Hartsock, we want a TE to do just that. I really think Justin Peele has done a fine job with being slightly more athletic and getting open. Our TEs are lulling other people to sleep, but we don't have one who can burn anyone afterwards. It'd be good to have him though.

We need to get a vet WR in here, I think Jenkins may be gone after this year, Robinson will move to starting oppo Roddy and Harry will hold down the slot spot. But I think B.Finn is gone too. So that'd just leave us with 3 WRs, going to have to get a couple more from somewhere.

Even if Jamaal continues his strong play from this last game, I'd still like to get a DE who can spell him. I like Davis, but I'd prefer to get Everette Brown. If the guy comes out I'm all over him, but he's going to be up close to the first round projections no doubt if he declares. But man, what a monster that kid is, and how great he'd be spelling Abe, and eventually taking over for him. Even better would be to have Him and Abe at each end, Jamaal at UT and Babs on the nose...wow. That'd be one hell of a 3rd down lineup right there. Even though I do like Kroy...we'll see how it goes.

I still want a DT, but there just aren't any out there that scream take me I'll dominate the LoS for you...they all are lackluster this year. Man, what I wouldn't give for Bunkley.

Safety is still my #1 desire though, I want a big time ball hawking playmaker back there. Of course I want him to be able to put people down hard, but more than that I want someone who we'd be able to drop into a cover 1 from time to time and not have to worry about him getting caught in no mans land.

Since it looks like we will be picking later then we first thought. I'm starting to like the ideal of picking a WR more. Someone like Percy Harvin or Maclin would be a good fit to team with White. They would both also help out in the return game and you can never have to many playmakers. This is assuming Jenkins leaves and Robinson doesn't step up.
