Falcons fans can be funny like that. In 2004, I sat next to one at the NFL draft. He jumped for joy (not literally) when they selected Michael Jenkins. Because Jenkins would Vick exactly what he needed. A big target to throw to at WR.

I used to love watching Falcons fans defend the claim that Michael Vick is a better QB than Peyton Manning (back in '05/'06).

Actually, Jimmy Williams was arrested.

I am pretty sure everyone thought that the Jimmy Williams pick was a steal.

Hindsight is 20/20. Good job using it.

he was. Although I gotta say his problem was always he was a bit of a CB/S 'tweener, it's just a pity he can't make the transition properly. Antrell Rolle seems to be able to do it.

He'll still make a good CB in a cover 2 I suppose.

CB/S tweeners are capable of being studs at FS. Thats just my opinion. Jimmy Williams could have done that if he just kept his ass in shape and upped his work ethic.

I thought Atlanta couldve been a sleeper team this year with the right moves. Theyve made every wrong move in the book imo.

They have a coach who is doesn't like blitzing and runs a lot of zone, their best CB is a press man CB who is going to be playing zone now, outside of Houston their secondary basically stinks, the front 4 is mediocre outside of Abraham who is injury prone, they passed up on Dorsey for Ryan....their overall draft was pretty subpar especially considering how many picks they had coming in, just not a good offseason for the Falcons.

Which is a shame, bc i was realling rooting for them to turn it around. After last season, Falcon fans deserved better.

As for Williams, well what can you say. Its not Atlanta's fault he went sour, he was a great pick at the time. Sometimes these things happen.

I'll explain to you how it relates to discipline which in turn relates to work ethic.

If a coach lets his players get away with not showing discipline it's feasible that poor work habits (see: ethic) becomes acceptable.

To be a good player you need to work hard, which takes discipline, self imposed or otherwise. A lack of will imposition from a coaching staff is a bad thing for discipline and work ethic.

Do you need any other basic coaching methods explained?

Nice try being sarcastic, but nothing you said relates to the word 'thug', and thats what I asked you about...I never asked you whats the definition of work ethic and discipline but thanks for stating the obvious...My point is that how is a player a thug for getting out of shape, again at the time I didn't know he had been arrested, but my point still stands...I don't like when people toss the word thug around, he could have an attitude problem, be lazy and not want to work hard, but thats not a thug in my book...Ignorant I can buy, but I don't like when guys label someone a thug when it doesn't apply.

Well, bad drafting is just one characteristic of being one of the worst franchises in United States professional sports.

Maybe JW can add another 10 pounds and then he could be an edge rusher like Freeney...

With the extra weight gain, and the freak athletic ability he might be better of as a rush linebacker, or situtational passrusher a DE. Yes he'd have to bulk up, but not much. (from 235 to 250) and he be a monster.
