He's only counting votes from fans of their own team.
I vote the Packers will go 11-5.

So Kalbears made an interesting thread last year about picking your team's record now and seeing how close you've come at the end of the season. Here is what he said:

Reading is fun.

You could have easily said 10-6 or 9-7 instead of just conforming to other votes.

I'm just saying I agree with them. Which I do. If I agree with an opinion I'm going to say so.

Turtlepower,
I believe that the Buffalo Bills will have a record of 9 wins and 7 losses.

I'll put the first vote for the Colts up at 13-3.

Browns
9-7
Thanks for putting this up. I didn't think people actually read this. You might want to repost the final predictions from 2007 too. Sliced butter is the shiz.

I'd be careful with predictions of at least double digit wins. I think the only teams in position to claim at least double digit wins are the Patriots, Colts, and possibly Chargers.

Not even Dallas :(
Lol no but our schedule was tougher last year I believe, if we lost 7 games there would have to be some sort of major injury.

I considered including the Cowboys, but the division they are in kept me from doing so. They would definitely be the next team in line though. Well, this side of the Rams of course.

I really think people shouldnt look at the Strenght of schedule that is coming up. Saying it is going to be easier is really foolish. A lot of teams get a lot better. Say in 2005 if people looked at their schedule and saw the Saints, it was an easy opponent or say the Bucs from this year. The truth is every team changes, and to go ahead and give the schedule as a reason for so many wins is never gonna work.

Its never going to be a perfect method, but it isn't a bad guide imo.

Last year Oakland before the year had started was projected to have the toughest schedule and by the end of the season they had the 25th toughest schedule.

yes but thats still not the thoughest, and to say my team is going to be good or better than this year because of my schedule is foolish

That is true some teams may be better than predicted like the Saints. How many times that happen per year? Especially with multiple teams. Also, schedules show away/home games. I think ignoring a stretch of road games is pretty ignorant. Schedules are definitely not the be all end all, but it is definitely something to keep an eye on.
