God damn are you the only one with the internet in Monroe? None of the bars nor any of the beer distributors have a web page giving selections. Well except for the Anhiser Bush wholesaler barf. My suggestion is to start brewing yourself.

I warned you. It is home of University of Louisiana-Monroe. You would think college = beer. No.
That would be sweet to start my own brewery but I have no desire to stay here longer than I absolutely HAVE to.
Probably just go with PBR if I don't see anything that stands out.

Does anyone else find it funny that Budweiser is trying to look like a micro brewer with its American Ale and Golden Wheat?

I do, they want to cut into the market share of people who buy good beer.

Golden Wheat has less flavor than Bud Light. Impressive to say the least.

Golden Wheat was average. I thought it had better flavor than Bud Light but I would still never go to it if I was looking for a beer in that area. People who mainly drink Bud and Bud Light might though.

Drinking it now. If you can find it, I highly recommend it. It's simply amazing.

Make sure you put on your tight jeans and ride your fixie bike while you drink those.

Very impressive. I didn't think that was possible.

Why is PBR associated with hipsters? For a cheap beer its my go to choice. It's really has taken on a image.

PBR is fine, but hipsters are lame and drive up the price in bars and refuse to drink other varieties.

PBR is the bee's knees, but I ain't no hipster. I just love PBR. I think it's more old-man beer than it is hipster beer.

Just got back from picking up a six-pack of Elevator Brewery's Bleeding Buckeye Red Ale. It's pretty tasty.

I drank 5 Foster's on Saturday night. Those beers are so epic and you have to drink them before they get warm because it's really a terrible beer. It did the job though, and for cheap, too.

PBR a hipster beer? Um when the hell did this happen? I always saw PBR as an old man, multi generational drunk, possibly redneck beer. Like Black Label.
