I didn't like beer at first. I hated the taste of macro produced pale lagers that are what most high school/poor college kids drink. I started to become interested in the craft beer scene about 2 years ago. Started tasting different styles and such. I found that them to be much more satisfying than the pale lagers and the like. Much more enjoyable to have a Bells Two Hearted or an Anchor Liberty Ale than to get ripped off Natural Light. For me the taste is much more important than getting drunk.

you need to start drinking good beer. no one likes busch or natty unless they like it solely as a vehicle to get wasted.

that, sir, is sad. couple of big bottles for ~$10 does me pretty good. but then, i'm almost as old as sarf, so maybe that factors in.

It's just a name...it is delicious, but overrated.
I've been really into sours, lambics, and krieks lately. I am jealous of those who live in Wisconsin and can get a Wisconsin Belgian Red whenever they feel like it...

I was never a big fan of Chimay either. I need more variety around me but it's always the same beers now which get kind of boring.

I don't think I'm that much younger. When I drink I drink a lot of beers. If I'm just gonna have 2 or 3 beers, I opt for something delcious. If I'm going to be pounding 10 plus, it's bud light.

I'm pretty sure I've had it before but yeah I do like it a lot. I also picked up the Great Divide Hercules Double IPA and that new Dogfish My Antonia. Dogfish also had another beer at the place I was but it looked to dark for a summer drink. I should have bought it though and kept for later in the year.

Great divide is also excellent. I've been drinking a lot of Southern Tier lately if I'm having good beer. Not sure if the guys out West can pick that up or not.

Lately I can't fine beers that are hoppy enough for me so I've been going with as many IPA's as possible. It's weird.

if y'all can get it, i virtually guarantee it's in CA. i'm actually shocked it makes it that far at all, they have a *tiny* bottling operation.

Just brewed a double IPA yesterday which should be ready to drink in a month or so. Should be 100+ IBU and around 7-8% ABV :D

Still my favorite. Stong as hell but still tastes like a real beer. 7% and delicious.

I will say that San Diego has some awesome breweries. The Green Flash West Coast IPA is one of my favorite, but it doesn't hold a candle to Stone IPA. Another very good brewery is Ballast Point, their Yellowtail IPA is very high on my list. Then there is also Port, Karl Strauss, Lost Abbey, and Coronado--those 4 aren't as good as the first three I listed, but they all have some damn good beers.

Also can't forget AleSmith, which is regarded by many as one of the best breweries in America. San Diego is pretty tough to top in terms of great breweries in one city.
