Default 53 man roster

here is my best guess at the 53 man roster

QB (3) - Roethlisberger, Dixon, Leftwich

RB (5) - Parker, Mendy, Russell, Moore, Davis

WR (5) - Ward, Holmes, Washington, Sweed, Baker

TE (3) - Miller, Spaeth, Boyd

OT (4) - Smith, Colon, Starks, Hills

OG (3) - Kemo, Simmons, Essex

C (2) - Hatwig, Mahan (i would rather have Stapleton but oh well)
-----------
ST (3) - Earnster, Warren, Reed
-----------
DE (4) - Smith, Keisel, Eason, McBean

DT (2) - Hampton, Hoke

OLB (4) - Harrison, Woodley, Davis, Frazier

ILB (4) - Farrior, Foote,Fox, Timmons

CB (5) - Taylor, McFadden, ***, Lewis, Townsend

S (4) - Polamalu, Clark, Smith, Mundy

That is 51 I believe... the other two guys I think will be one of :

Reid (if he can be a proven returner in addition to WR)
Kirschcke
Madison (if it is determined we need ST help)
A. Harrison (see above)
Humpbal (if he can get healthy)
Carter (if Mundy can't get healthy, though he would just replace him)
Stapleton

I want it to be Reid and Stapleton

Though I think it will be Kirschke and A. Harrison

Here's my shot...

QB (3)- Ben (Batch, Dixon)
WR (6)- Holmes, Ward (Washington, Sweed, Baker, Drummond [KR])
RB (5)- Parker, Davis (Mendenhall, Moore, Russell)
TE (3)- Miller (Spaeth, Boyd)
OL (9)- Smith-Kemo-Hartwig-Simmons-Colon
(Starks, Mahan, Stapleton, Essex)

DL(6)- Smith-Hampton-Keisel
(Kiershke, Hoke, Roye)
LB (9)- Woodley-Foote-Farrior-Harrison
(Frazier, Timmons, Fox, Humpal, Davis)
DB (9)- Taylor-Clark-Polamalu-Townsend
(BMac, ***, Lewis, Smith, Mundy)
ST (3)- Reed, Ernster, Warren

PS (8)- Hills, McBean, Paxson, Vickers, Latsko, Vincent, Legursky, Rucker

From everything Iíve read about Hills, the only reason they would put him on the 53 is to keep him from getting snatched off waivers. While I really wanted to see him contribute, he needs some more time.
The same thing goes for McBean, who I thought would have a chance but hasnít stood out (hence the Roye signing)

The only other thing Iím wondering is if Vickers is eligible for our PS since heís spent time with other teams.

CB - (5) - Taylor, Townsend, McFadden, ***, Lewis
S - (4) - Polamalu, Clark, Smith, Carter
ST - (3) - Warren, Ernster, Reed

Roye and McBean are wishful thinking.

Moore, Mendenhall, Davis, and Drummond handle returns.

I'd love to see Carter get knocked off but Mundy simply hasn't shown anything. Injury damn near makes it impossible for him.

Lewis has looked good in camp and in games. Beats out Madison who is only a special teams player.

If Mundy gets cut and goes on the PS, I could see Lewis playing full time at S and having Madison make the team as the final CB.
