As a Cardinals fan i feel Johnson is vastly overrated, someone is going to pay him #2 type money and he is still going to fail, i personally feel he is the 5th best WR on the Cardinals

Steve Fairchild to leave in the offseason?
http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn...c.php?t=317551
Colorado State
All signs appear to be pointing toward Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Steve Fairchild being named coach at Colorado State.
A source connected to Fairchild says he has contacted a few potential coaches to solicit their interest in joining his staff in Ft. Collins.
Even though I'm not a big fan of him, he can't leave. Our offense is starting to click. We're on the verge of making the playoffs. We can't let him leave.

Looks like the hire will be made.
NOOOOOOO. Big loss for the Bills, he's an excellent offensive coordinator. Consistent quality coaching is the most underrated factor in the league these days imo. Trent Edwards will have to deal with his second offensive coordinator in as many years, and who knows if the Bills will be able to find an offensive coordinator as good as Fairchild.

Ahh I just saw this. Inconsistency here is the last thing we need right now, and I don't feel good about this one bit. Nothing that wasn't said already, but this really bites.

This is terrible. We have to learn a whole new system, and we're going to become a terrible team again.

No we wont. It is essentially the HC who puts the system he wants in. We wont change anything. Trent is smart enough as a QB, and I know Jauron and Levy see that. I dont expect a set back at all. I expect someone to come in and continue what Fairchild was doing. I dont expect anything to change. I think Jauron will want to see what he is seeing this year.
Levy and Jauron are building this team around smart people, and Ill be damned if someone comes in a breaks it up.

That was perfectly said. This Bills team has been one of my favorites to watch in a long time because they are actually playing like a team. Although it is a set back( and I was getting some crazy flashbacks of the recent past) I still believe that who Marv and Dick bring in they will hit right in to the teams style.
In Marv I trust

Everett planning on coming up to Buffalo for game on 23rd!

The grandfather of Kevin Everett, Junior Nico, told 2 On Your Side's Scott Levin Wednesday night that Kevin is planning on returning to Buffalo to walk out on the field for the December 23rd game.
On Tuesday, we learned that Kevin's story is being told by Sports Illustrated.
The Bills tight end is on the cover of this week's issue of Sports Illustrated, with a long-form article written by SI's Tim Layden. The article can already be seen now at SI.com.
In it, Layden travels to Port Arthur, Texas to spend time with Everett and his family. He says Everett barely shows the physical or mental signs of a man who three months ago went through such a tragic accident. He also says the bonds between the members of Everett's family were what stood out to him most.
"He has three young sisters who depend on him and who he depends on," Layden told Channel 2's Matt Pearl. "His mother and he have a very special bond, and his fiance is always by his side at rehab. He has a lot of support."
The issue hits newsstands Wednesday.

Would love if we could hire Norv Turner, Cam Cameron, Steve Mariucchi.
It'll probably be Turk Schornet but if we wanted I'm pretty sure we'd have a good shot at hiring either Turner or Cameron if they're not with their teams at the end of the season.

Why in the world would Steve Mariucchi come to Buffalo to be the offensive coordinator? Come on now...
I also doubt that Wilson would pony the bucks to hire Norv Turner, who was one of the highest paid offensive coordinators wherever he was, nor do I think he'll get canned after one season. They are going to win their division after all.
Cameron might be a realistic option.

Statement from Steve Fairchild...
With the news that Steve Fairchild would become the next head coach at Colorado State official, the Bills offensive coordinator issued the following statement late Wednesday.
“I am honored by the opportunity to return to Colorado State University as head coach. This is an exciting time for my family, as well as myself, and I want to thank CSU President Larry Edward Penley and Director of Athletics Paul Kowalczyk. I also want to thank Bills Owner Ralph Wilson and Head Coach Dick Jauron for the opportunity afforded to me the past two seasons.”
“We have a very important game this weekend with the Cleveland Browns that requires all of my concentration and I do appreciate CSU and the Bills for allowing me to finish out my responsibilities here in Buffalo prior to assuming my new role.”

- Previous working relationship with Jauron
- High character guy, for a high character organization
- Edwards could be a great WCO QB

Steve Mariucci is a head coaching candidate, guys. If he did leave his job at NFL Network, which he's enjoying a great deal, it's for a head coaching position (most likely in the pros).
I'm sure the Bills will do their due diligence in finding an offensive coordinator to follow Fairchild. They wisely hired Fairchild in the first place.

What isn't high character about the Bills? I'm interested to hear your answer.

I'm sure the Bills have splendid character, and that and a a dollar will get you a Charleston Chew.
The fact that a guy would turn down head coaching jobs to stay in the media, but would want to come to Buffalo of all places to be a coordinator because they are "high character" is akin to saying that Asante Samueal will sign with the Bills for less than market price because Marv Levy is a nice old man.
