I have a question... My xbox is getting really weak connection with a wireless router to the upstairs modem. Can I do something to improve the strength of the connection or do I have to buy something? It's really annoying for COD4 because it will just stay at the 'downloading game settings' screen most of the time and if I get in I have red connection. Thanks for any help.

Just finished the Batman: Arkham Asylum demo and it's definitely my type of game. Big fan of the GOW series so the controls came easy since it uses the Unreal engine, and I'm all about the stealthy nature of some of the objectives. The fighting mechanics and counters are very reminiscent of that of another one of my favorites Assassins Creed, and pulling off a nice combo and counter is ridiculously satisfying. Small sample size but the demo was filled with everything I love about video games. A must buy for me.

you could set up a bridge connection, take ur laptop and plug in ethernet cord to one end and then the other to the xbox. Now set up a bridge between the wireless and the plugged in device, and that should work.

Had it last month and they still took mine in and fixed it. So I'm pretty sure they still do.

I don't think so. I think it has to do with your hard drive, try replugging it in.

Well if that's the case they probably do.

Hm. I haven't gotten a chance to really know if it's my hard drive or my system. I played a few games online and it would freeze shortly after starting it. I only got the e79 error screen and the red light once. Since then, it only freezes. :/

According to a website, not sure how reliable:
E79: Dashboard Error - Couldn't start xam.xex: probably a file system corruption, it could also be a problem with the Hard Drive itself or a problem with the internal connection to the hard drive, Try removing the hard drive and playing without it.

Is anyone else getting Rock Band Beatles? I can't wait for this game. I'm about to go pre-order the Limited Edition ( I don't have drums and 1 Guitar from Guitar Hero).

Bad call....
The RB:B package is a lot more expensive than RB2 or Guitar Hero World Tour's. Even if you're a huge Beatles fan you'll find the songs on the game to be boring and repetitive to play. Plus you can ONLY play Beatles songs on the game. No other songs are compatible.
If you want a full band game, you should buy Rock Band 2 in a bundle. It's on sale for about $100 now. It comes with 84 songs and RB has a ridiculous DLC catalogue. There's something for everyone on that game and it's a blast alone or with friends.
Guitar Hero 5 doesn't have a full instrument bandle but Band Hero (comes out in Nov.) will. Band Hero is mostly top 40 hits (guilty pleasure songs).
I own every Guitar Hero/Rock Band game on 360 except Guitar Hero: Metallica which I'm gonna get soon. I'm not even getting RB:B.

I have Rockband 1&2 and Guitar Hero 3 and World Tour. I just bought the games and kept GH3 guitar. I'd say GH Metallica is a bad call :P Just a different taste in music. I know its only Beatles, and that's why I'm getting it.

If you want the drums, mic and another guitar then I guess you should get RB:B Beatles or Band Hero. GH5 only comes with a guitar and RB3 won't be coming out til next fall probably.
I'm only gonna get Metallica when it's cheap. I love Metallica and the guest tracks but I have too many games and it's not worth $50.
Also, wow, your GH3 guitar still works?

Yeah, I guess I just got a lucky one. I will probably pick up Metallica as well once the price drops. Not my favorite band, but they do have some good songs. Doesn't GH5 come with GH Van Halen? I thought I read something like that.
Also, how is RockBand AC/DC? Worth getting?

Get GH5 now if you want in on that promotion. You have to buy a copy with a sticker that says it's redeemable and then you apply online and VH gets shipped to you. Pretty good deal imo. Sucks that it doesn't work for Canadians. Apparently the GH5 guitar is really good and durable if you have any problems.
I got RB:AC/DC for $10 at EB Games in Canada. It comes with 18 songs so it's a pretty sweet deal.
From what I understand you can only get it at Wal Mart in the US. If you wait it will be available at other stores for a lot cheaper. I'd buy it for $20, $25 max. It has all their best songs and a lot of them are fun on guitar, but they all suck on drums and the bass is mediocre on most. AC/DC is for guitarists and vocalists only.
Also, I'd get Smash Hits over Metallica. Smash Hits has a killer set list with a lot of songs with fun solos. It's exportable to GH5 as well which could help down the road. I bought Smash Hits Day 1 and it's my favorite GH game, although the repeats are a turn off to some.

I didn't even know Smash Hits was released, I'll have to check out the track list. Yeah I wouldn't pay $50-60 for metallica. I was thinking about getting it used or wait for a price drop. AC/DC is unfortunately $30 at WalMart, not worth 18 tracks. I'll have to wait for that to drop too. Do you only get Van Halen for buying the version with the Guitar?

No you just need the game with the manual.
You can export 35 WT songs to GH5 now for $3.50. 21 Smash Hits songs will be available soon for export as well. More tracks will be available as the companies continue to re-license them.
If you want me to post a list of the exportable songs just ask.

I just went and bought GH5. I love that all the songs are unlocked from the beginning. What's your gamertag? We should play sometime.

I had NO idea that you play GH/RB. I thought no one plays on this site except Vikes99ej who never posts on this thread.
I shoulda asked for your GT when you said you hated Fallout 3 tho :)
My GT is Hane11....I just bought GH5 today and I'm gonna export WT & SH. I have some DLC as well. Invite me to whatever game you wanna play (cept Beatles) and I'll switch my disc.

15 games is obviously an overstatement. Here's a breakdown:
GH2 - brother bought it
GH3 - brother bought it....I started playing when it came out
RB1 - bought the full bundle when I got my first couple paycheques working in the spring/summer
RB2 - bought the disc day 1
GHWT - bought the guitar bundle when there was a promotion for 5 free DLC songs
GH:A - bought for $10 on sale
GH:SH - bought disc day 1
AC/DC - bought it for $10 on sale
GH5 - bought it today, comes with GH:VH free :)
I guess it's easy to say they're all the same when you're a casual gamer who plays on Medium, maybe Hard and all the note charts look the same. If that was the case I would only own GH3 and maybe RB1 or 2 (for drums/vocals). Except I play on Expert and I enjoy new charts, difficulty and new music. All the games have great soundtracks except GH5 which is mediocre but at least I can export songs from previous games/DLC....and I get GH: Van Halen shipped to me for free.
I guess it seems stupid to own countless discs that are all the same concept, but it doesn't work that way. Each game is a platform. I have about 200 songs on my RB2 disc from RB1 export, DLC and ACDC export. Same thing goes for GH5 as I have about 200 songs from WT, SH, DLC and GH5 combined. It's pretty cool to have all those songs to choose from on 1 disc.
The only game I rarely play is GH:A because the songs are too easy, but it was cheap so IDC.

Yeah it's boring until you get to Expert where you play the same amount of notes as the real guitarist and thus actually experience the music. There are a lot of roadblocks to getting hardcore into GH so I understand.
