Halo 3: ODST got a 9.0 on IGN.
Great value for people who don't own Halo 3. Everyone loves Firefight and it's never too late to get into Halo 3 matchmaking. Halo: Reach beta invitation doesn't hurt either.

The campaign better be awesome. I mean, I enjoyed Halo 3 but it just didn't feel like a new gen game. It felt like a rehash of Halo 2 (which is fine, both fun) but not as your first halo game for your new system. Does ODST come with Halo 3?

I'm still not ^^. The FPS I'm waiting for is Borderlands. I was wanting to find multiplayer videos but I could only find a single player preview. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/pr...derlands/56124. Though I do plan on picking up ODST.

It's on the Halo 3 engine with better color schemes.
The gameplay compares more to Halo: CE though. You don't have regenerating health so you need health packs. Your shields are much weaker, you can't jump high or fall from high. The scoped pistol returns.
The campaign is short but it's unique compared to the first 3 Halos. You're not playing as Chief and the attacking and mechanics of the game are different. The setting is also new and cool as much of the game is played in the dark streets.
That's enough about the campaign though. You should only buy this game for Firefight and/or the Halo 3 multiplayer disc. Firefight is apparently one of the most addictive game modes ever.
The game comes packaged with 2 discs. ODST disc (campaign and firefight) and Halo 3 multiplayer disc (everything but the campaign, including all maps).

I don't. MW2 just looks like its going to be an easy, average, and generic shooter again. I much preferred the original COD over any other.

To be fair, it kind of was. It was really well done but it wasn't anything ground breaking in terms of first person shooters. But I think often a really well done and polished FPS can be better than something that is buggy and creative.
The Call of Duty series is starting to get overused and rehashed but MW2 looks pretty interesting. Should be fun to see what they do with it.
Actually I wouldn't call it 'average', but it was pretty generic if you look at it in terms of innovation and creativity. Great game, but it didn't push the boundaries in terms of what we've seen from other FPS games.

Yeah, maybe average was a little harsh. I had some fun playing it. It's above average. It just isn't God's gift to mankind as some people like to think.

How people can play FPS's on a console is beyond me..
If people only understood the greatness of actually aiming with a mouse.

My roommates got ODST last night at midnight. I played a little firefight and had some fun. I'm pretty sure my roommate stayed up all night last night and already beat the campaign.

I bought ODST at lunch. Can't wait to go home and give it a run. I love that it is getting back to some of the features of Halo CE.

QFT. Not many share my opinion of cod, I personally prefer RB6 for FPS
Multiplayer ( i am clearly in the minority with that opinion) Also before the COD fanboys lynch me I am not saying COD is a bad game, it's ok but I was pretty let down when I bought COD4.

I play most of my fps on pc except killzone 2. There really is no better option for fps than a mouse and keyboard.

It's what happens when you have a P.O.S. computer that is older than half the posters on this site.

I've had some issues with Live the last few times I've played Xbox but I thought it was a network issue on my part.

I kind of hope that plays nothing like the other splinter cell games. I hate the feel of Tom Clancy games. It honestly looks more Max payne than Max Payne 3 does, I figure it will def. feel a lot different that the rest of the Splinter Cell series. A lot more action than stealth now. I'm going to rent it as soon as it comes out.
